Excellent location in older shack / batch
Excellent location for the sea, estury and town all close by. Property older traditional 1950's place with original features. Basic facilities but all there, could have done with another loo as there were five of us and could sleep eight. Would stay again.

Perfectly located holiday home
A gorgeous little cottage a short stroll from the beach that had everything we needed for our vaction. Owners were very good with communication. Ocean views from the front deck were definitely a highlight! No tv reception or wifi but there were loads of dvds to choose from. Great backyard for our dog and cute cubby for our toddler.

Cute and quirky beach getaway
Had a lovely visit with our dogs. Less than 100m from the dog beach on a quiet cul-de-sac. The place was perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Next time we will stay longer!

Marvellous place
A wonderful throwback to an earlier time of classic Australian beach holiday houses. Clean, well furnished, massive shower, and terrifically decorated with some real "beachey" artifacts, and let's not forget the gnomes in the garde, We took our non-shedding Australian Cobberdog with us, and he had a great time too, specially at the beach just 100 metres away. We had a power outage for more than 24 hours which cut out stay short by a day, but that certainly wasn't the owner's fault. Overall, a delightful place to stay.

Rest & Relax
The property reminded me of my Nan’s house , which I loved and lots of great memories. While older the property had everything and super clean. You can view the beach from the deck, the street is friendly and you can do heaps or as little as you like. Super pet friendly too and 500m from dog beach.

Fab cosy beach cottage
Lovely comfortable and cosy cottage just a short stroll to the dog beach, easy walking distance to the river and town. Views of the ocean from the front deck and the kitchen. Lovely gardens and dog friendly. Shareen was great to deal with. We had a fabulous time and can't wait to stay again.

Peace and comfort in an amazing location
Jeck's is a charming cottage, surrounded by a lush and pretty garden, a stones throw from the water. It is an easy and spectacular scenic walk or cycle to pristine locations on the inlet and Flinders Bay. Good communication with Shareen who did her utmost to meet our needs. Highly recommended.

The dogs and I enjoyed our getaway to Augusta. The cottage was quaint and met our needs. Close to a dog beach. Only issue was the stairs for my old dogs.

Chillaxin at Jecks
Love this place. My wife and two dogs stayed here and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is wonderful with ocean views and the relaxing sound of the waves. A great place to unwind in. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much.

Perfect for a short stay
Perfect location within bike riding and walking distance to all child friendly beaches, parks etc. Kids loved the garden and the house is in a safe and quiet road for pets/small children.

Cute cottage with quite nice outdoor areas, great to have our dog with us but too cramped for us.
Really liked the overall look and feel of the property. Small but quite comfortable for 2 couples and maybe 2 very small children. But the house was cluttered with "things" too may chairs in under cover area, cupboards chock full, extra beds crammed into spaces they perhaps shouldn't have been (like the tiny laundry!) made ease of use and movement about the house less comfortable. No hand washing available at the only toilet, had to walk through house to wash hands- Yuck! Was probably the wrong place for us, perhaps a younger family would have preferred it more, but we always love our time in Augusta.

Lovely location right near the dog beach.
We enjoyed our Christmas day long table lunch in the shady backyard at Jecks. The house is well equipped with amazing views. The only downfall was the house really holds the heat. I understand it was a hotter than usual Christmas in the south however the house could really do with an ac in the lounge area as even on the cooler days the house was uncomfortable. No flyscreens on the kitchen and dining room windows - the only two windows that open in the open plan area. Supplied fans were sufficant over night to sleep. Great communication from owner.

Hi Celeste Thanks for the review Unfortunately you guys experienced some record hot temperatures, unheard of in the Augusta area. We hope to see you again when the weather is a little cooler

Lovely spot, gorgeous deck and garden.
The bathroom and toilet are off the bedroom with the bunk beds which made it difficult for us to use in the evening as we kept waking the kids.

The property was beautifully located, very clean and comfortable and absolutely the sort of place to go away and relax in. The front deck was an excellent place to enjoy a quiet drink overlooking the sea and some amazing wildlife!

We love Jecks and love it when people enjoy her as much as us... Stay in Augusta
House was situated in a good area. House was clean. Heating was not good for winter. Need instructions on how to use one of the heaters. Instructions on where other necessary items also needs to be in the folder. Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay in the house again in winter because if the heating. Couldn’t use front verandah as rain came up to the door. The back verandah where shower is needs some heating there in winter as extremely cold.

Thank you very much for your feedback I’m sorry that the weather wasn’t kind to you during your stay and I am sorry you found the heating inadequate... I have tried to address the heating issue but unfortunately due to mis use and safety issues we have had to remove the gas heaters and are now left with electric heating as our only safe option...Closing doors and isolating areas has been found to be effective...I will review my folder and ensure that your other concerns will be addressed . Once again I thank you for your feedback and hope we see you again at Jecks cottage in summer time

Whales sighted from the kitchen window
Jecks cottage is absolutely gorgeous... The cottage is quirky and in the perfect location. The owners have gone over and above to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay feel like home away from home. We sighted the whales from the kitchen window and then walked down to the beach to watch then at play... We highly recommend Jecks and will be back

Fantastic location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jeck's. Great, cosey accommodation with a beautiful big backyard and front yard for the dogs. The dog beach across the road is fantastic. Sit on the decking with a beer and enjoy the view of Flinders Bay. This lovely cottage is very comfortable with very comfortable furnishings and felt like a home away from home. Thanks for the great stay!😁

Cosy character filled cottage
We loved our extended weekend at Jecks cottage. We found pretty much everything we needed in the cottage and our dog was secure and happy in the back yard. Easy walk to Colour Patch Cafe (with the dog) for lazy coffee with freinds and relaxing to watch the kite surfers on the bay. We will be back!
