“We had a wonderful experience at Snug Harbor Inn! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Avalon, with beautiful surroundings and a charming, relaxing atmosphere. The property has a lovely boutique feel that makes it perfect for a romantic getaway. What truly makes this place special is its intimate atmosphere and attention to detail. 5. Catalina Courtyard Suites

Avalon

“This was a clean, well located property in Catalina. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. There was a nice fire pit area in the courtyard that was really nice. There were so many great touches at this property that made it feel inviting. We also got 2 adjoining rooms (the family suite), for the price of a single room in most other spots on the island. It’s not a 5* hotel, and maybe a bit noisy, but we enjoyed the charm and the staff a lot.”

8. Catalina Canyon Inn

Avalon

“The hotel may once have been a charming place to stay, but it now feels neglected and in need of renovation. The shower had visible mold, and many other areas of the hotel felt worn out and outdated. It is located about 15 minutes from downtown on top of a hill, but they do offer a complimentary shuttle service, which was very convenient. At nearly USD 500 per night, we expected a much higher standard overall. Unfortunately, the hotel did not live up to the price.”
