“Orchid Harbor is a charming house located in one of Maine’s beautiful coastal areas. There was lots of room inside and out for our use. It was very comfortably furnished and had many touches that harkened back to days gone by. (I discovered a stack of old magazines, many of which were Women’s Day and were published in the 1940s and 50s and cost a whopping 2 cents!) “The location and views from the cottage are quintessential coastal Maine. Small community with lobster pound and Maine Oyster Company across the street. John is a welcoming host and eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The cottage is great for 2 people, equipped with the basics and has a great deck to enjoy the views. Planning to return next year. “The house has 3 large bedrooms and a large backyard. It is private without being secluded. We were glad that we could bring our dogs! The house had everything we needed and a lot of extras. Full kitchen with everything needed to cook, etc. very clean as well. We visited several beaches in Harpswell. They are mostly rocky, with some sandy areas so my granddaughter could dig. Also some nice hikes close by. The area is beautiful.”
