    This traditional five-bedroom, four-bath home beckons you to unwind on its covered rocking chair front porch and breathe in salty breezes or nap in the swaying hammock. Inside you'll find open living spaces boasting hardwoods and loads of light from the skylights above the two-story ceiling. The cozy gathering area, anchored by a decorative fireplace, is just across from the dining space. Enjoy your meals-with-a-water-view or step out onto the attached screen porch for a snack or coffee. The adjacent kitchen has a beautiful wooden breakfast bar that seats four, loads of granite counter space and stainless appliances. It is backed by a spacious pantry/laundry room. If alfresco dining is your pleasure, scoot out the home's French doors onto the covered porch and step down to an oversize dining deck-the perfect spot to enjoy a good meal AND Mother Nature.

    This level also houses an ocean-view Queen with private front porch access and a bunk room with three twins. These share a marble-tiled bath with a glassed bench shower.

    Upstairs-in another bright, airy space accented by skylights-is a sitting area with a daybed. Relax here or just outside on the sundeck and soak up rays as well as the scenic seascape. This floor features two King Owner suites. The first showcases ocean vistas and provides private deck access, a vaulted ceiling, a large walk-in closet and a lovely ensuite. The second also offers private ocean deck access along with a sitting area, built-ins, a walk-in closet and a generous ensuite. Above the two-cart garage is the crofter. This very private space provides yet another suite with two Twins, sitting area and full bath.

    Additional amenities include use of two golf carts, an outdoor shower and a central location convenient to the clubs, shops and the Conservancy and WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends.     IMPORTANT NOTE ON CLUBS: Both clubs are independent from WWP or any WWP properties. As such, all arrangements for temporary memberships must be handled by renters directly with the Clubs. Renters are strongly encouraged to make desired reservations with the club immediately upon booking, and also to become familiar with club policies, procedures, and schedules. WWP representatives will not be able to answer most club-related questions.

Beautiful home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the design and decor at Salty Dog, plus they have two great Ike’s, beach towels and lots of hooks to hang your towels. We have rented this home many times over the years and will be back to stay next year. Wendy’s properties are always very well maintained and her team is top in customer service.

Family Vaca at Salty Dog/BHI

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice venue. Across street and short walk to beach. House is not maintained to high standards. A/C in loft inoperable and not maintained. Many windows have sealed broken with substantial condensation. Golf carts are very old and tires in substandard condition. Rooms and linens in good condition. Need to invest in upkeep. WWP did an outstanding job communicating BHI ferry schedules, check in, responding to problems (Adam on site immediately) and making sure stay was comfortable.

Beautiful home in a great location, a few rental issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience overall at Salty Dog. The house is beautifully decorated, well located, comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We had several maintenance items in the first few days, but Wendy Wilmot Properties took care of most of them promptly. During our stay, the oven did not work but they brought us a toaster oven halfway through, which was a good substitute. The smart TV never worked during our stay. The patio table and chairs are broken or warped and could use maintenance or replacement. The house was not clean at checkin and we had to wait outside on the front porch in the heat with fresh groceries for a full hour to wait for the house to be cleaned (no remuneration was offered for this inconvenience or loss of paid time).
