La marinera, beautiful apartment with terrace, near the beach

This beautiful flat is located in the old town of Barbate, on a pedestrian street lined with flowers. It is on the first floor of a typical family home, accessed via a private alleyway.



La Marinera is contemporary, airy and bright, with an open-plan kitchen leading to the dining and living area, which opens onto a sunny terrace with sun loungers and outdoor furniture. The terrace is decorated with plants and solar lights, with views to a large patio formed by private houses. Perfect for sunbathing, breakfast, or dining al fresco.



The flat has a double bedroom with a 150 cm bed, a window overlooking the street, a built-in wardrobe, and a spacious en-suite bathroom. It is well equipped with kitchenware, bed linen and towels, plus free internet, air conditioning, Smart TV, mosquito nets and ceiling fans. A parasol and beach chairs are also provided.



La Marinera is close to the river and a five-minute walk from Virgen del Carmen beach. Past the fishing port and marina is La Hierbabuena, a wild beach near the cliffs, popular for surfing.



Barbate sits where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet at the Strait of Gibraltar. On clear days you can see Morocco, and at sunset the lights of Tangier. It's a seafaring town with a rich tuna-fishing history (Almadraba) and deep flamenco roots.



Tuna stars in the local cuisine, alongside fresh fish, seafood, Retinto beef and local cheeses. Many tapas bars and restaurants are nearby, and the local market offers quality fresh produce.



From Barbate you can hike or cycle through Las Marismas and La Breña natural parks. Nearby are Caños de Meca, Zahara de los Atunes, Vejer de la Frontera, Conil, El Palmar and Bolonia with its Roman ruins. Cádiz is worth a day trip.



The nearest airport is Jerez, followed by Gibraltar, Seville and Malaga, all with bus connections to Barbate.
