Our breakfast was marvellous -- homemade croissants that tasted like they were made in Paris, homemade danishes (better than any I've ever had anywhere), perfectly poached eggs, a beautiful spread of fruit, the most delicious cooked mushrooms (my husband is still raving about them and asking me to figure out how to make the "wow" mushrooms at Glencoe), and an extensive tea menu with what seems like the entire T2 tea shop on offer.
The room was lovely, with a window seat to curl up on and enjoy the view of the surrounding gardens, and a very comfortable bed. I slept more soundly in the bed at Glencoe than I do at home (which is saying a lot, since I usually sleep poorly in hotels.)
I would highly recommend staying here. A rarity among bed and breakfasts, Glencoe has a five star bed and five star breakfast. A wonderful weekend escape.
