Bass Harbor Oceanfront Chalet: Fredlig, privat, fantastisk havsutsikt

Detta är ett charmigt hus i chaletstil med 200 fot fasad på Bass Harbour med utsikt över hamnen och öarna. Chalet sitter på en privat, trädbevuxen mycket (screening du från grannar), med ett stort 12 "x 24" däck med utsikt över hamnen.

Koppla av på däck och titta på hummerbåtar, segelbåtar, kanoter, kajakpaddlare och Swans Island Ferry i hamnen, eller njut av utsikten från det fullt utrustade vardagsrummet, matplatsen eller sovrummet med havsutsikt. Barnen kommer att älska att mata änderna som besöker stranden, och du kommer också att njuta av solnedgångarna från vår strand. De är spektakulära! Chalet har också rymlig terrassparkering.

Fastigheten ligger intill Acadia National Park, som erbjuder vacker natur och dessa rekreationsmöjligheter: berg, utsikt över havet, sjöar med färskt vatten och vandringsleder. Finns också naturskryssningar och vandringar, valskådning, kajakpaddling, cykling på vagnar och färsk fisk och skaldjur! Det finns många restauranger inom tre mil.

OBS: Nattpriset har sänkts den 12 oktober till och med den 2 november, eftersom TV- och WiFi-tjänsterna har stängts av. WiFi finns tillgängligt på Southwest Harbor Library. Din hyreskostnad reduceras därmed med mer än 25% under detta intervall och är 44% lägre än våra sommarpriser.

All rubbish must be placed in supplied tall plastic bags (max of 6) and rubbish tote taken to end of driveway by 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays.
At least one load of laundry should be run before final departure on Saturday. The house also should be left reasonably neat as well.
There should not be a "large" number of day visitors, because it may tax the water supply and sceptic system. (To date this has not been a problem.)

Lovely and peaceful home

This chalet is adorable, right on the water! So peaceful, comfy beds, and perfectly located for Acadia. Warren was so nice, and we loved staying in their family home. You can tell it's a special place to them, and we're so glad we got to experience it.

Highly recommended. Great location, far away enough from the crowds elsewhere on the island, but still close to a few dining options and a few shops. The owners of this chalet really went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and pleased with our stay. Very pleased we chose to stay in their accommodations.

The property was as described and very clean. Very peaceful and a terrific view. I would say the location is mostly private (construction/ near by house). This house overall is very comfortable and felt like a 2nd home to me. The deck has terrific views of the harbor and the location is very near to Acadia.

Acadia vacation

We had a wonderful week in Acadia and loved staying at the chalet on the quiet side of the island. It was the perfect home base for our day trips around Acadia, and we enjoyed watching the harbor and the tide come and go from the deck. The house was very comfortable for a family of four.

Best place we have stayed on the quiet side of MDI

This was one of the best places we have stayed on MDI. Close to our favorite lobster pound, Thurston's. We have always enjoyed staying on the quiet side of MDI, and this house was in the perfect location. There was really nothing missing that we needed. I just wished I would have brought my kayaks. Definitely next time.

Great location

Great location, near Acadia but away from the crowds. Nice views, that change dramatically with the tide. The chalet has all you need, and was clean and comfortable. Communication from the host was good as well.

My husband and I spent a week at the Chalet and loved it. The home is on a quiet street and has a lovely waterfront view. The neighbors were kind, friendly and, bonus, one neighbor walks her goats every afternoon. We appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the family feel of the home, it truly feels like you are staying with a relative.

Great house in a beautiful location!

My wife and our two teenage daughters had a wonderful week staying at this house. As described, the house is right on Bass Harbor, which makes hiking around Acadia and going to the ocean very easy. We love 'the quiet side' of Mt. Desert Island and Warren's house is the perfect spot to enjoy it. We hope to come back!

A Great Week on the Quiet Side

Peace on MDI

This is such a lovely little chalet right on the water. On the quiet side of the island which is what we wanted. Absolutely loved just sitting outside and watching the changing tides. Several restaurant options nearby but everything you need to cook at the chalet too. Very clean and lots of information provided by the hosts. Easy check in and out. Will definitely stay here if we are able to return to Maine again.

Wonderful Vacation Chalet!

My husband and I spent a very comfortable and cozy week at the Elvins Chalet! We celebrated his birthday and our anniversary during the week. The Chalet had everything we needed including privacy on the deck in front of the Harbor!! We visited Acadia National Park and took several day trips exploring the island. Would definitely return!

Quieter side of MDI

The quaint chalet was a perfect location for my family as we revisited Mount Desert Island. We chose the quieter side away from the bustling Bar Harbor. The chalet amenities fit our family of 4, especially the deck overlooking the harbor. The detailed instructions provided in the mail by the Elvins as well as at the chalet were helpful in finding new things to do in addition to Acadia National Park. We had a wonderful time and appreciate the Elvins' sharing their chalet with us.
