“It is hidden and on a river, it's really beautiful there. We were there when there was no other residence, so my pup and my grandchildren were able to play. It's in the front yard.The owner was very nice and accommodating”

“We loved our stay here. The property was super clean and quiet. The hot tub and grill both worked as advertised. One thing worth mentioning is that the last mile of road in is a single lane, gravel road, that not only crosses through what appears to be a creek but is also quite steep and rocky. While we managed in a Tesla model 3, I wouldn’t advise it, particularly if it is wet. ”

“The Luxury Moose Retreat was absolutely amazing!! I have stayed at several rental properties in Basye, VA over the years, but this one was outstanding. It's less than 1 mile from Bryce Resort. Drive way large enough for 6-8 cars. The kitchen is spacious, more than enough counter space, high quality utensils, pots, pans, gas stove, there's even a wine fridge! The bedrooms are spacious, bright, clean, beautiful. There was not a single thing during our stay that we were inconvenienced...

“We loved our stay here! The cabin was clean and cozy and looked just like the photos. The hot tub was clean and ready to go. There is a nice yard and the road is quiet so our dog was off leash most of the week with no issues. The neighbors were so nice, multiple people stopped to talk to us when we were hanging out on the front porch. We didn’t hear back from the owner for about a week when we initially reached out (before the trip) but communication was quick and thorough every time after that....

“We recently stayed at this property and had mixed feelings about the experience. The location was great and check-in was very easy. The price point was also more affordable compared to similar listings in the area, which we appreciated.That said, the cleanliness of the unit left a lot to be desired. While I understand the unit is older and not recently renovated, some of the issues went beyond just being dated. “This was a cute little cabin in the woods, and, for the most part, suited our needs well. One item to mention....the listing says that the cabin has air conditioning. It does, except the 2 downstairs bedrooms do not, so they got quite hot in the middle of July. It was a nice stay apart from that. Thanks!”
