Cozy 2 BR cottage on serene Bayou Manchac. This waterfront cabin has a large gazebo and picnic table. Boardwalk provides easy access to dock and fishing. Enjoy breathtaking views from the screened porch. Lots of extras: hammock, swing, charcoal grill and fire pit. Plenty of local restaurants, grocery, etc. LSU's Tiger stadium is only 34 minutes away! Approx 1 hour from New Orleans. Raised entrance accessible only by stairs. Technology free zone. For security, names of adult guests required.
The space
Take a break from technology and enjoy morning coffee or your evening beverage with scenic views from the screened porch of this cottage. Enjoy grilling under the gazebo or roasting hotdogs and s'mores at the fire pit. You can fish from the dock and nap in the hammock. There is plenty of outdoor seating for sharing a meal or a game of cards. The gazebo has a picnic table and there is an additional table and chairs under the house. There is also a swing to enjoy under the cabin. Bring your boat/canoe/kayak for fishing and fun on Bayou Manchac, the Amite River and nearby Lake Maurepas. There is a public boat launch 3 miles away.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cottage, outdoor amenities including gazebo, picnic tables, boat dock, charcoal grill, fire pit, screened porch and parking.
Other things to note
This charming area of Louisiana has plenty of good Cajun food served with Southern hospitality, boating, fishing, hunting and shopping. Attend LSU sporting events in Baton Rouge or professional sports in New Orleans including Saints football and Pelicans basketball.
