“Got an allergic reaction when entering the room. After we said we would have to leave they gave us another room. They should have done when I first told then about the moldy smell.”

“Good value for a short stay in a convenient location just off the beach road. Property is quite dated, but our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I will mention that the outer entrances were unlocked all day and night, even though there were card reader mounted right next to the doors. The breakfast voucher was great; the restaurant breakfast was excellent and far better than the usual breakfast options in this class of hotel.”

“Needs to be renovated. And some maintenance on the air conditioning. It was so loud we couldn’t hear our TV. The staff was professional and probably overwhelmed with the busy weekend but very helpful and friendly.”

“This is a hotel mostly for people staying in OC for a week or longer. We stayed just three nights. It suited us well. Nice pool and close to the beach. It is not a luxury hotel, but the suites are very nice, but ours wasn't cleaned properly, we found empty water bottles under the bed. But overall we enjoyed our stay very much.”

“Very clean, two minute to the beach, and very nice pool! Only downside is no wi-fi and you can't hook up a console or streaming device to watch streaming apps. Also wish there was more parking. Thankfully we were always able to get to a spot before it was full but late night goers may struggle. Definitely a nice spot for those who don't care about that stuff and close to the beach.”

“The hotel and the room were clean, but we had a constant issue with supply. The pool was out of towels and even after asking for more, we never got them. Lobby restrooms out of paper towels for days on end and when they finally restocked the paper towels, they were out of toilet paper. Housekeeping changed our sheets but did not give us any towels, toilet paper, or garbage bags. Also, the free hot breakfast was sub-par. The eggs were watery and hard at the same time. “We’ve been coming to OC for 25+ years and have stayed at The Hampton Inn ever since they opened. We always get our preference of a bay room, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were a little apprehensive with it being a pet friendly hotel but there were no issues. We appreciate the fact that they have already remodeled when the hotel isn’t really that old. Pretty bummed though that the tiki bar has been removed 😔.”

“The property was in great location to the beach (which was the selling point). Walk right out of your hotel and your toes are touching the dunes. The front desk wasn’t very helpful answering questions relating to nearby areas and left out that you can shuttle to their sister property (Aloft) which seemed to be in much better condition. “The place is nice. However it’s not the cleanest. We checked in and saw 2 hair on a supposed clean towel, as well as a fly that we couldn’t deal with. The staff was able to provide fly catcher for us to hit the fly, but was unable to change us into another room that’s ocean front.”
