“Hotel was very nice. Staff and grounds were great. The reason for giving a neutral review is our room was right next to loud live music until 1AM. I feel we should have been warned about the room at check in or before and given an option for a room on the other side of the hotel. Please be sure to ask about this when making your reservation and check in.”

Then, we checked the room out and it was so damp and musty we refused it. Kindly, we were offered another room which was just as bad. We refused it as my wife has terrible allergies to mold and the like. We explained this to the property manager and he refused any sort of refund. “The location of the Lake House Inn was great for visiting my husband's brother and his girlfriend. The room was attractively decorated, the beds reasonably comfortable, and the room reasonably clean (baseboards and walls are due a good wipe-down, though). TP dispenser was MUCH too far from the toilet and there was a faceplate for a control to a nonexistent heat lamp that hung loose from the wall. Maybe remove the faceplate and TP dispenser and plaster over those spots? DO NOT book through...

“We have stayed at Old Kinderhook a number of times over the last several years. The staff are so friendly, the property is well maintained and clean. My husband loves the golf course!! We do feel the rooms need a major remodel and update. In the past we had to ask for a hair dryer, but we did have one in our room this visit. Fortunately, we were only in our room a couple of hours in the evening as the TV was old and had a horrible picture. They could stand to invest in new ones. If you don't...

“This is a great place to stay, staff was great. A little disappointed the restaurant was closed Tuesday and Wednesday but the pool was great and the area of the lake was pretty quiet. The cabin was nice, we will be back.”
