“The facilities are older, but the management is trying to do some updating and modernizing. Main thing is the rooms are clean plenty of space and comfortable. We did not use the pool, but it did look inviting and it was being used by others. The staff was helpful when looking for a place to eat, and the manager was super helpful getting us a one night refund as we needed to cut our stay short. I would recommend this place if you're looking for affordability and not picky about decor.”

Then, we checked the room out and it was so damp and musty we refused it. Kindly, we were offered another room which was just as bad. We refused it as my wife has terrible allergies to mold and the like. We explained this to the property manager and he refused any sort of refund. “We have stayed at Old Kinderhook a number of times over the last several years. The staff are so friendly, the property is well maintained and clean. My husband loves the golf course!! We do feel the rooms need a major remodel and update. In the past we had to ask for a hair dryer, but we did have one in our room this visit. “The location of the Lake House Inn was great for visiting my husband's brother and his girlfriend. The room was attractively decorated, the beds reasonably comfortable, and the room reasonably clean (baseboards and walls are due a good wipe-down, though). TP dispenser was MUCH too far from the toilet and there was a faceplate for a control to a nonexistent heat lamp that hung loose from the wall.
