“ The parking lot was ridiculous. There was 50cm of snow and they had no proper shovels or salt. The lot was never salted once and was an ice rink. Very dangerous. Cars were buried in ice and snow and you were expected to dig it out. Ridiculous. The plow repeatedly went through but put down no salt and just kept the cars buried in. The counter staff were not helpful or concerned. Offered to call cabs but offered no solution to get rentals out. I will definitely rethink staying here as safety...

“Our stay at the Ryan mansion was truly a delight. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the mattress, pillows and covers so very comfortable. The soaker tub was an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and was an enjoyable way to start the morning in a lovely setting. Mary was a wonderful host who made us feel welcomed. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect and was incredibly accommodating. Thank you Mary!”

“I’ve been staying at the capital ever since it opened. It’s my favourite place to stay when I’m in St Johns. The only issue I’ve encountered in the last years is the cardkey door locks. They badly need updating. I rarely stay there without having to go to the desk at least once to get my card reprogrammed ”

“Worst hotel ever. Noisy, very small rooms. All lights are run by a central ( meaning You cant decide which light should be turned on. You will wake up in the middle of the night due to the central switchingbon the lights suddenly. Happened several times evey night. Stayed three nights anf then moved to another hotel. When there is wind and rain there is a structural problem that the hotel is aware of that make enormous noise. Stay away. ”
