The Cottage at Indooroopilly

Perched on an elevated mountain plateau between Kangaroo Valley and Berry, The Cottage at Indooroopilly is the perfect retreat for a romantic weekend away.

Built using materials sourced from the land itself, including mudbricks, natural stone, local timbers and leadlight windows, this charming cottage blends rustic character with modern comfort. Recently renovated throughout, it retains its original charm while offering all the conveniences of home.

The open-plan interior features spacious living areas with plenty of cosy corners to curl up with a book or relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine (firewood provided from May to September).

The kitchenette is ideal for preparing light meals and includes a fridge, microwave, portable electric cooktop, sandwich press, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided, and a gas BBQ is available for outdoor cooking.

The bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed with an electric blanket to keep you warm on chilly winter nights.

The unique bathroom, with its mudbrick and stone walls, features large windows overlooking the surrounding forest, creating a peaceful connection with nature.

Wake to the song of resident lyrebirds and keep an eye out for the local wildlife, including wombats, echidnas, kangaroos and wallabies, which are regular visitors to the property.

The Cottage at Indooroopilly is not suitable for children other than non mobile infants.

Pets are also strictly prohibited.

Access to the cottage is via a shared private road so it is important that guests drive slowly. This is particularly important at night time as there is often wildlife on the road.
