  • This restored historic Newport Bungalow is a sun-drenched 1,250 sq. ft. retreat in the heart of downtown Bend. Reclaimed wood floors, exposed ceiling beams, and high-end finishes set the tone from the moment you walk in. Walk to breweries, coffee shops, and boutique shopping; bike to Phil's Trail; or drive up Century Drive to Mt. Bachelor — this location puts all of Bend within easy reach for couples or small groups who want style and convenience in equal measure.

    There is construction going on next to the home for Summer 2026.

Everything was great - location, furnishings, amenities. It was lovely to hang out in the living room with cozy fire (albeit fake) on a snowy day. Would definitely rent again.

A great place to stay for a Bend-area getaway.

This is our third stay here, and we plan on being back. The home is nicely apportioned (though stocking the aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and plastic bag drawer a bit more consistently would be appreciated!), very clean, and super functional. Walking to town and to nearby Newport Ave. restaurants is convenient and easy. Nearby Newport Market is fantastic.

Just perfect!

We stayed here for a week and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and organized. We loved the lay-out, especially the little breakfast nook. Having everything on one floor is nice and the backyard was great when the grandkids came over. Would love to book again next time we travel to Bend!

This house was comfy and close to what we wanted to see in the area. The nearby Deschutes River Trail was beautiful. Due to rain, we didn’t get to use the backyard — but we liked rocking on the front porch during some showers!

Perfect Location!

This is our second time staying at the Newport Bungalow. Always cozy, warm and welcoming and the perfect location. Walking distance to downtown and all of our favorite places to eat! Clean and feels like home, we always check this listing when coming to town as it’s a favorite!

Great Bend Property!

Super-cute, charming house in the heart of Bend. Walkable to downtown and to neighborhood establishments. Well appointed property with off-street parking and a private backyard. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable and great location

This home is in a great location close to town. We walked most of the time into town for what we needed which was very convenient. Overall the home is very comfortable and well put together. We had a great time in Bend and enjoyed staying here.

Overall a pleasant stay

We spent three nights at those cute cottage. Overall, the place was comfortable and clean. Communications were quick and easy. It is exactly as pictured and described. The location couldn’t be beat - you can walk downtown, to the river or just up the street for food and groceries. It is also just off Newport which makes for easy access in and out of the area (it also created some street noise during the day but not so much it’s an issue). We also had a great time sitting on the porch when it rained and in the backyard when it was sunny. My only wishes, and this is a nitpick, was that there was some sort of foil or baggies available for food and instructions for how to use the convection stove as I had never used one. It was a bit of a learning curve. Overall would recommend.

The perfect bungalow

My husband and I loved everything about the charming bungalow. It was clean, spacious and cozy. The location was everything - about 1/4 mile to downtown Bend and all the shops and restaurants. I'm looking forward to rebooking next fall.

Homey & Beautiful Bungalow - Prime Location

As a person who loves a well curated environment I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail of this rental. The home is clearly decorated by a professional interior designer. From the colors to the couch, the space feels inviting and cozy and comfortable to guests away from home. We loved the touches of the complimentary coffee and toiletries as well as the washer and dryer. If you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing home in the best location - accessible to downtown- this is the spot for you! Perfect place to stay for two couples or a family getaway

Childhood home

Alpenglow provided an exceptional birthday experience. This was my first home in Oregon as a child. It was so surreal to be able to stay in my old bedroom again for my 33rd birthday. The remodel is beautiful as well. The helpfulness of the staff was above and beyond. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

I Shall Return!

Beautifully renovated, clean, and well appointed, this was a pleasure to stay in. Quite spacious, with plenty of room for two couples or a small family. Yes, there were a few minor glithches(ex. dead batteries for fireplace remote), but that was cordially and promptly remedied by the property manager for this home. They also seemed appreciative of our comments during our stay. The four stars on location(still very good) had to do with the house being on a moderately busy street and was a bit awkward backing out. We ended up turning the SUV around in the driveway, which was tight. A smaller car would more easily maneuver, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Good location, rough start to a nice stay

Our three night stay with you was very disappointing from one aspect. We called three times the day of our arrival to see if we could get an early availability. Each time they said they would check with the cleaning crew and let us know. At three o'clock that day, we drove to the house and saw through the window, one of the house cleaners sitting on the sofa watching TV. She was not checking the function, she was watching TV. When my wife went to the front door, the young woman declared "we don't have to be done till 4:00." Pathetic customer service !

This house was very comfortable for our week stay in Bend. My husband and I both worked while we were there, and there were comfortable places for both of us to set up our laptops to work. We also enjoyed the front porch - it was nice to sit outside in the evenings. And the house is located between downtown, and Old Bend, a perfect location!! There is also great coffee shops within walking distance.
