Pet Friendly Studio in Downtown Bend with Kitchenette and River View!

"Fish Upon a Star" is the official name for unit 252. It is a small but comfortable ground floor studio cottage with everything you need for a Bend Adventure! This cottage is part of the Bend Riverside Rentals community and is situated directly along the Deschutes River Trail with an absolutely insane view of the Deschutes River directly out the window! This unit is suitable for one or two guests. In the main living space, you will find a queen sized bed and because the large window in the cottage is tinted on the outside for privacy, you can wake up to the beautiful river view directly outside! Also in the living room is a comfy rocking chair with ottoman for you to put your feet up and get some relaxation and meditation in during your stay!

The kitchenette has everything you should need for a low maintenance couple of days away! It features a stovetop, mini fridge and a microwave, along with some basic kitchen dishware and essentials. Cook up a tasty meal and enjoy the best views in town from the dinette set situated by the large front window, without even having to change out of your sweatpants!

Feel like getting out of the condo but not going too far? Pioneer Park is right next door and has plenty of space to stretch out or enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic tables right along the water! Our property also has an indoor heated pool and hot tub, open seven days a week!

This condo is also pet friendly! Bring along up to two pets for a one time additional fee of $50 + tax.

This cottage along with the others beside it, use to be part of a "condotel" called the Bend Riverside Inn and Suites, which went out of business in 2020. Decades before that, it was once part of the Bend Riverside Condominium Motel. Today the property is technically called "The Riverside Commons," but most people still refer to it as Bend Riverside. Because it was built in the 1970s, it has one of the best locations in Bend!

Perfect location, rough bed

This little unit is exactly as described, a perfect location right on the river walk and immediately adjacent to the check dam which makes for a pretty view and some ovely water noise to sleep by.No complaints about the unit except for the bed, which has breathed it's last. I'm sure it was lovely when it was new, but it's very soft and sagging in both directions towards the middle, so it's more like a hammock now than a bed. Granted I personally require a pretty firm bed so some folks might be OK with the softness, but the support is broken down to where everyone ends up in the middle in a puppy pile by the middle of the night, and I can't imagine anyone liking that. I suppose for one person it might be ok sleeping right in the middle.Anyway, an excellent unit that would be 10/10 if they invested in a new mattress set.

Our stay

Good location, near a lot of things, with a good view. We came here with our dog, and saw they said no dogs near the pool, so we left him in his crate in the room. Apparently, he did bark a bit while we were gone. To which our neighbor reported us. The gal I talked to on the phone was nice and understanding.However she did let me know that their HOA policy says dogs are not allowed to be unattended in the room.Which does make it hard to use the amenities provided since dogs aren’t allowed there. And hard to fully have a vacation, not everywhere allows dogs.I personally would say, if your HOA policy says they can’t be left unattended, I would make that a lot more clear at checkout- or else I would not have booked this spot had I seen that prior. So just a heads up to those considering booking with pets, especially if they have any separation anxiety in new spaces.Overall, the property itself is nice. Besides the one little hiccup, we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect

Took a quick trip to Bend to visit my new granddaughter. I changed my reservation twice, as I found that I could stay longer than expected. The communication with the staff was just wonderful, and they were very fast to accommodate my changing plans. The unit was adorable, exactly everything that I needed! I could walk out of my door and be on the river trail in a minute. It was a quick walk to get to downtown. The kitchenette, although small, afforded everything I could possibly need. LOTS of towels. A definite win win if you want a really cute room right by the river!

Fantastic stay with water view!

We have absolutely loved our stay at this little gem on the water. I highly recommend this location. The property manager has been fantastic and the location could not be beat.
