The Space:
Opposite Sacred Heart Cathedral, this Wattle Street home looks out over the lawns and trees of Wattle Square Park.

Inside, the house has high ceilings, original leadlight windows and polished hardwood floors. The kitchen has been fully updated, with Miele appliances, stone benchtops and a butler’s pantry with extra bench space and storage. It’s fully equipped, whether you’re staying one night or several weeks. The kitchen opens to a large dining area and two separate sitting areas, so the group can spread out. A study nook gives you a quiet spot to work. Throughout the house, carefully chosen pieces and personal touches make it feel like a home rather than a rental (including a piano).

The main bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in robe and its own ensuite. The second bedroom has a queen and a single, so the house sleeps five. Both bathrooms have a rain shower, a mirrored vanity and their own toilet, so there will be no issues in the morning rush.

You can walk to View Street, Bendigo Art Gallery, Rosalind Park and the cafes and shops around Bendigo CBD in about 10 minutes. It’s a comfortable base for a weekend away, a wedding at the Cathedral, or a few days exploring Bendigo without needing the car.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property during their stay.
Guests will not have access to the backyard, however, there is a BBQ and multiple seating areas in the front and side gardens which are protected from the street.

Located in the heart of Bendigo, this home is perfectly positioned for guests wanting to explore the city’s history, culture and local attractions. Directly opposite the iconic Sacred Heart Cathedral and overlooking Wattle Square Park, you’ll be surrounded by heritage architecture and leafy green spaces.

Bendigo’s vibrant city centre is not far away, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, boutique shops and local galleries to discover. Wander through Rosalind Park and its gardens, or explore the city’s rich gold rush history at the Central Deborah Gold Mine. The area is ideal for exploring on foot, with many of Bendigo’s best-known attractions close by.

Getting Around:
Bendigo’s CBD and surrounding attractions are easily reached by car within a few minutes or about 10 minutes by foot. Many of the city’s cafés, restaurants and cultural attractions are located close together around the central area, making it easy to explore during your stay. Taxis and rideshare services operate throughout Bendigo, and Bendigo Train Station provides direct rail connections to Melbourne.
