“Worst hotel I've ever been to. Weird fines, unclean rooms, everything was broken or halfbroken. It was loud and unbearably hot at night. No idea how this could possibly be rated as a 4 star hotel. I don’t recommend. ”

“The hotel was an outstanding one 30 years ago. Now they just one of good ones. Management works hard to make the stay good, but staff is a bit out of ground. Thay could not help me taxi ordering for in city travelling. One more example: I paid 3 nights and did not have a single breakfast due to late arrival and early leave. At 10:35 I asked just for coffee and been refused.”

“Very good location, close to bus stop to airport, to train station and city centre. The hotel is in a neighborhood, the room is very clean, good value for money.The staff is very helpful, I had the room in the morning when arrived. Good choice for short stay.”

“The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...

“One of the best hotels/apartments I’ve ever stayed at. The apartment was perfect for 4-5 people and the comminication and assistance with the host was absolutely amazing. Nothing to complain about at all. ”
