What a beautiful place and great location!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the location! Decorated nicely and a quiet spot. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and check in was easy. We are definitely coming back!!!

Great for Summer
We went during a very cold and rainy time. I think we would have enjoyed this property much more in the summer. The cabin itself was fairly cold, but it was beautiful. The views were incredible and overall the place was clean.

Perfect cottage for restful weekend
My daughter is a student at WWU, and I wanted to take a long weekend in Whatcom County that could be close to Western but also a little apart for her to enjoy the surrounding environs. We had a wonderful time, thought the place was excellent for some R&R and dog play/walking time. Loved this place and will definitely consider going back. Birch Bay is lovely while also being simple, quiet, and no nonsense. Excellent support by property management (we were there during a cold snap and needed some reinforcement on heat) was most definitely appreciated, gracious, and responsive. No hesitation in recommending!

Nice Cottage
Great location, lovely views. Superior to most rentals in that the furniture in the Great room was comfortable. Also one of the best equipped kitchen set ups. You can really settle in and function. Most rentals don't have nearly as well equipped space.

The caulk in the shower needs to be replaced. Someone left a review mentioning this over 2 weeks ago and it's still moldy. It's gross.

Great little house near beach
The house was great, clean, well appointed. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 start overall is the shower. The shower is extremely small and old. The bathroom in general is very small but fine. I'm not a large person and showering was very tight. Everything else was great. Beds were comfortable and the couch was nice. Great back deck and BBQ. Despite the small shower we would still stay here again.

Great location, funky little beach neighborhood, had everything we needed for a comfortable short stay. Suggest you include instructions for locking the front door from the outside.

Charming well-appointed cottage near beach
Cute, cozy, older cottage made light and bright with contemporary interior remodel. No carpet to trap sand or dirt. Newer appliances. Lots of built in storage in front bedroom. Wall of windows across living room lets in lots of light. The large deck stretches across the front of the cottage and is great for outdoor dining. The beach trail is one house south of the cottage and is easy to manage. The bathroom is small but the shower stall has a clever sliding-door arrangement which works well in the available space. Plenty of extra towels in the armoire in the living room and getting more was a simple phone call to the support phone number. The only wrinkle was that the propane tank in the grill was empty, and the spare tank in the shed had enough gas only for one good grilling. That oversight was avoidable and should have been addressed prior to our check-in. Even with that experience we hope to return to this great little cottage.

Cozy, Cute Cabin!
We were two couples who stayed here for a weekend. Loved this cabin! Clean, well decorated and comfortable in every way. Well stocked kitchen with modern appliances. Pretty ocean view which we enjoyed on a sunny deck. We’d stay again in a heartbeat :)

Seaview Cottage was an excellent get away for my daughter and my self. The home was spotlessly clean, beach theme interior decorating was perfectly done. Everything we needed was in place and in great condition. We would very definatly book this cottage again!

Great for a friends getaway
Spent a lovely rainy weekend in January at sea view cottage, with 5 friends. Lovely cottage, nicely updated and well heated! Only recommendation would be for a big mat for the entry way for coming in with wet shoes and a bit more cliarity on where to park additional cars!

Seaview Cottage is a charming & comfortable choice.
I usually use VRBO so wasn’t familiar with Vacasa process. I received the reminder one week prior as expected. On the morning of our stay there was no email as promised. By 2pm it was time to leave and the email was not received due to no internet. Upon arrival it took some research to come up with a number for text messaging. It took most of an hour to finally gain entry. Once inside, the information for WiFi was in the book and the missing emails appeared. The parking spot was more than adequate for a full sized SUV. On a brighter note, the Cottage is beautifully restored! The kitchen, dining, living areas are bright & spacious as depicted. The deck is marvelous and the view is beautiful. Shrubbery could use a little pruning but the view was not seriously impaired. Both bedrooms have adequate space and 3 tall efficient fans are provided. The Bathroom is quite small as depicted. There is a corner shelf unit and a mirrored cabinet with storage that is not in the picture. My husband is 5’11” and about 200 lb and he was able to manage. At a prior weight of 250 it would have been very difficult. The owner is very kind and responsive. We messaged during our stay and sent pictures which was nice. Neighbors are friendly and I ended up having a lengthy chat with a couple that was walking by. We would certainly stay again.

Good but some appliances did not work
It was overall a good stay, the cottage looked exactly like the pictures shown online. However, the microwave did not work. And the toaster was not operational either. So 2 essential small appliances for a short getaway in my mind, did not work, lol. I text'ed the property management (same number I got text from asking how our stay was), did not hear back. Oh well, it didnt bother us too much, we were on vacation :)

I wanted to love it, sadly I did not.
Originally from Birch Bay, I booked this stay to bring my kids back. This is a very small quaint beach cabin. We had a hard time finding it due to the fact that either there are no address numbers or they're hidden and the fact that the yard is grossly neglected with overgrown grass and bushes that are blocking walkways and doors. The trees/bushes in the backyard need to be trimmed on top to allow the water view that is shown in the VRBO pictures. There are cobwebs and bugs everywhere. The trash bins and recycle bins in front the house were full. It was not a good look for a supossed beach vacation rental. Upon entry the screen door rubs and gets stuck on the roofline. Initial impressions walking into the house were cheery and bright with a peekaboo water view. Look closer and all the blinds and trim are full of dust and and hair. some blinds are broken. The windows have large circle streaks through them. Walking barefoot and my feet were black with dirt. The fabric furniture is in desperate need of some deep cleaning and one of the glider chairs is broken or missing pieces which you find out as soon as you sit down. The bathroom is incredibly small, and mold bits in the caulking in the shower. There is no fan which causes a fire alarm outside the bathroom to go off constantly due to shower steam. We were left only 3 towels, a single roll of toilet paper and only two trash sacks. For a family of 4 plus a dog and this was not enough supplies to get us through a whole week. The bed in the master room is not secured tightly. The slats that the mattress sits on are constantly shifting with any movement and makes you feel as though the bed is about to collapse. To add to our growing frustrations, Pest control showed up to spray the property during our visit limiting the usuage of the yard for our kids and dog. If it was just one thing, I could have looked past it. But for all the money spent and one dissappointment on top of another throughout the week. I even took the time to voice my frustrations with the management for this property during our stay, VACASA, to this day I still haven't heard back (going on almost two weeks now). This is my second time writing this reveiw because for some reason it did not go through the first time I took 30 minutes to do so eventhough it says it was submitted. I will not be returning and I do not reccomend this cabin unless your only requirement for an enjoyable stay is proximity to the beach.

On Thursday June 9th the neighbors of the place had loud noise (work done at the property) for 4 plus hours which made us leave for awhile to get away from it. Of course you can't be in charge of what they do, but we were their total 2 full days and that was one of the days.

So peaceful!
Loved the place! Loved the path to the beach. Loved the deck and the furniture and that we could have our dog. Parking was a challenge as we drive a ford van and there was not enough room in the one parking spot and front of van had to stick out into road. Also, there were 2 bins overflowing with recyclables outside of house, and garbage can had stinky bags in it. The garbage p/u wasn’t scheduled for another 10 days (I called)…maybe to have recycle and garage picked up weekly would be better. We still loved the place and would stay again if we had a shorter vehicle. The neighbors were lovely too!!!

Clean and comfortable! Great amenities in this lovingly renovated cottage. Short stroll to the beach past the "bioswale" and down the path. Easy enough for children and older folks. Great size deck and nice grassy yard. We were here during the "pineapple express" weather events...so, rain, rain and more rain. It was still lovely and especially cozy with the gas fireplace. Would recommend this seaview cottage for any travelers!

Great view, location, and size for our visit with my daughter up the street! One suggestion for winter stays is an entrance rug or such? It's a rainy area, and it would be good to be able to step inside, even when taking off shoes, with an interior rug. Plus, floors get cold that time of year..... Cheers!

Wonderful Dog friendly house
We were very happy with the house and location. Views of the water were nice. All the windows let in alot of light despite the rain we had while there. It was nice to have flooring with no carpet. The beds were good but the one is Salmon room is sagging in the middle so mattress needs turning or a new one. One suggestion is please post instructions in Garage on how to use the washer. I wasn't sure where to put the soap tab. :-) Thank you,
