“A really amazing property and possibly my favorite of our week long trip. We were only here one night, but it was perfect. The view was incredible and the space very clean. My only very small and easy to fix complaint was that all the amenities weren’t listed or were unclear. There is nowhere very close to eat or get groceries so we planned to only have a kettle. “Our first two nights in Iceland were here and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The dogs on the property made this one of our favorite stays of all time. We loved being greeted by them and playing fetch outside. Inside was very spacious and clean. Check in was super easy.”

“The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. The kitchen has a small fridge and a stovetop, and the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water (WiFi was also available). “This cabin and guest house was just right for our group of 4. We had one couple and a father with adult son. It was easy to find and located where starry skies and northern lights were amazing. It was clean with basic amenities and the owners were easy to communicate with. Hot tub was clean. Note that the twin beds are in a loft with very low ceiling. Perfect for kids but slightly tight for adults. Nearest store is in Selfoss so plan accordingly. ”
