“The Atlantic House is in the perfect location with amazing views, which is why we chose to stay there. The hotel needs updating. It’s generally clean, bedspreads don’t match the old curtains still hanging, pleather couch and chair in room. The beds were comfortable though. “Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. “What a lovely little place. It is what it is; a refurbished roadside motel with modest rooms and fun decor but it does it so well. Adorable, great location, clean and nice mattresses. Really loved it.”

“Untrained staff, yes it’s an old hotel but be wary and don’t talk loud in the hallways. The hotel boasts a bar, but there was an event.. so no one else could get a drink? That doesn’t seem like it would be hard to manage. They bombard you with upgrade offers before you go.. staff isn’t friendly. The hotel is curated well as far as bohemian surf vibe, very clean.. but the senior level staff must know they have you by the b@lls when on Block Island.”
