The place was very nice and clean. The instructions to get in worked perfectly. The location was amazing. There were a few essentials things that could be helpful for guests. A small travel sized shampoo. A few tea bags or a serving of coffee to brew. We arrived late after work and we got in and went to sleep. It would have been nice not to have to get up and get essentials first thing in the morning.

Stayed here for the Oregon State game. A great place for 2 ppl. Regardless of someone parked in our parking spot, Kristen was great and communicated with us to resolve. Parking was across the street of sunset, not a big issue since we walked everywhere. Unless you took a drive outside of BR, your car should stay stationary considering the walk-ability to everything. Definitely will and would rent this unit again. Only complaint (but it’s a fixable one) was we kept tripping over the ledge the living room is built on. User error for sure but we just put a bag at the corner so we didn’t trip on it. Didn’t care about no cable, we used our login to our apps. We weren’t there to watch tv anyway. Had on for ESPN Gameday and background noise. We loved it and had a great visit/stay.

Two week get-a-way

The property was very convenient to restaurants and shops on Main Street. The bed and the furniture were comfortable. The steps to the property and the walk up the hill from the parking spot were challenging to us as 75 year old seniors. The TV was Roku based and very limited as to current programing. We spent hours relegated to watching TV programs from the 50’s and 60’s.

Cute apartment just off Main St in Blowing Rock

Nice, quaint, and quiet. Hosts were very kind, and quickly responsive to questions. We really liked being able to just walk downstairs and be right on the main drag. Couple of things to note: -It's on the 2nd floor, so there is a good-sized outdoor staircase to traverse. There's a large outdoor patio area at the top of the stairs. Nice if you want to chill outside. -Designated parking space is about 1/2 block down. We were able to pull into a gravel spot across the street just for unloading and then move the car. -Several fall hazards: Living room is on a 6" raised carpeted platform, easy to bump into esp at night on the way to the bathroom. Several runners and throw rugs also in place. Be careful with all these or you really will "Have a nice trip"! -Internet router is in the apartment next door so if it needs resetting, you'll have to call the host. But when we did, they had it reset remotely right away and then it worked fine. -Smart Roku TV; you can set it in "guest mode" and then login to whatever streaming services you already have accounts for. -Bedroom is a little small-king size bed barely fits. There is only an end table on one side. We both use CPAP so had to get creative with a chair and extension cord. -The bed was very comfy! A lot better than many places we've stayed. -Full kitchen with full sized fridge. We bought groceries just down the road and had breakfasts in house. -Bathroom has a skylight--the natural light was very cool. We'd stay here again!

Amazing Stay at the Center of Blowing Rock!

We can't say enough great things about our stay at Sunset Stroll! We had an issue with parking and the property manager worked extra hard to help resolve the issue. Close to everything Blowing Rock, this apartment was perfect for us. We even inquired about staying an extra day and luckily for us, the property manager made it really easy and set us up for a bonus day. We will definitely be back and will try to get this apartment again!

Cozy and Comfortable

My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the Sunset Stroll property. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything that you need. Loved the exposed brick walls throughout. The property is very centrally located and just a few steps from main street. The beautiful city park is just up the street. You can just park your car and walk to the shops and restaurants. The unit had a well appointed kitchen and a comfortable king bed. The bathroom is not very large but is adequate and does have a small storage shelf. The only major con was the strange step up into the living area. You have to be very careful coming in the front door or you will immediately trip. Also, just be aware that there are quite a few steps to get up to the unit from the street, and the designated parking space is down one building and across the street. However this would not keep us from booking this property again. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Great, but...

The apartment was spotless and perfectly located a half-block from the main street of the historic district. Everything in the area was within walking distance, and the assigned parking space was a good benefit. It was well supplied, and everything with one exception worked well. That exception was the wifi, which was hit and often miss. The TV is linked to a streaming service, so if that's important to you, weigh it against the major benefits of the apartment. Also, if stairs are an issue, be aware that the apartment is reached by a couple of flights of outdoor stairs.

Perfect!

This property was perfect for me. I wanted a relaxing getaway with no schedule of places that I had to be. Blowing Rock was exactly the best place for that and this property was exactly the best location-wise and relaxation-wise.

No better location for Blowing Rock

If you want to be "in" Blowing Rock there is no better location. We have visited Blowing Rock a half dozen times and stayed in motels rooms to condos, this is the best located. As shown there are some stairs but unless that is an issue for you personally this is a great choice. If you've visited the town you will also appreciate having a dedicated parking space. There are plenty of walking distance restaurants but as we were there over a week having kitchen facility is also a plus if one wants an occasional breakfast or lunch without having to go out.

Best Location

Pros: You can't find a better location than this one. It's just a few steps from the center of everything in Blowing Rock. Not only is the location perfect, but you also get an assigned, conveniently located, parking space. Priceless. Cons: The bed. It was way to soft for us and dipped where we slept. The pillows and the mattress reminded me of staying at my grandma's house.

Sunset Stroll

Overall the place was a good place to stay. Location is great. Cleanliness is great. Biggest issue we had in the listing it seemed the parking was right out the back door. The parking was located across the street and down a little. there was a reserved spot however not easy to load and unload luggage..

We had an amazing weekend staying at Sunset Stroll. It was just the perfect amount of room for the 2 of us. It was a rainy weekend so we could just pop in & out of the apartment, shops, & restaurants. Can’t wait to come back!!
