“Even though the weather wasn’t great, the cabin was clean and cozy. Screened in porch was so nice to just sit, read and enjoy the rain. We were hoping to get to use the fire pit outside but winds prevented that. Will keep this on our list of places to stay in the future.”

“The cabin was as described, was clean and well-equipped. Only negative, and it was not the fault of the property, was that there was a lot of work being done on the river which caused it to be quite silted while we were there. We made the best of it though and enjoyed the visit. ”

“Carol has thought of everything needed for a mountain escape in the most wonderful cabin. The cabin is surrounded by trees with vistas all around. So many places to gather together. The late afternoon fire pit was one of our favourite. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and pillows. Carol was easily accessible and helpful. The location is close to App State, Boone, Blowing Rock Grandfather’s Mountain and so much more. We highly recommend staying there and hope to be back ourselves again....

“We loved the attention to detail with the decor of the room. It reminded us of luxury safari tents. The bed was comfortable; the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator were useful, and the ambience was fantastic. The only downside is having the restroom up the hill, but the restroom was clean and included nice showers. I would definitely stay in the tent again, though it would be nice to stay for a longer time.”
