  • Marie's Cottage är en idealisk bungalow vid havet.
    Det ligger precis vid Pagham Beach och har därför direkt tillgång till stranden och panoramautsikt längs den och ut till havet.
    Lokala affärer ligger mindre än en kilometer bort, liksom det världsberömda naturreservatet Pagham Harbour. Det ligger inom 8 miles från Chichester, Goodwood och Bognor Regis, vilket gör det till en perfekt bas för att utforska och njuta av South Downs och delta i evenemang som Goodwood Revival and Chichester Festival. Stranden är också populär bland vindsurfare / kitesurfare.
    Bungalowen har ett stort mottagningsrum med utsikt över stranden, en kichen / matsal med utsikt över stranden, två dubbelrum, ett med en en-suite dusch och en familj badrum.     Pagham byn har alla bekvämligheter du behöver, det finns fyra pubar, affärer, restauranger och ett postkontor. Det finns fantastiska promenader runt området, inklusive runt Pagham Harbour naturreservat som är perfekt för fågelskådning, fotografering eller bara en plats att koppla av och njuta av naturen. Kustvandringar, Chichester Marina och South Downs National Park ligger alla inom räckhåll.

    Staden Chichester med alla dess attraktioner, inklusive den berömda Festival Theatre, katedralen, medeltida murar, konstgallerier, butiker och restauranger, är en lätt 6 mil bilresa bort. Den närliggande Goodwood Estate, i hjärtat av South Downs National Park, är hem till några världsklass händelser, såsom den Festival of Speed, Glorious Goodwood hästkapplöpning och den Revival veteranbilsmöte på racerbana. Det finns också två första klass golfbanor. Längre bort, väster, är den historiska staden Portsmouth med sin Naval Dockyard och i öster, den spännande staden Brighton. Thoroughly enjoyable

This was our 5th visit to Marie Cottage - we love it. The cottage is very spacious and comfy with a beautiful view of the sea, which you open the doors onto. We find it really relaxing and enjoy staying in and doing our art and crafts. It’s also very close to shopping areas. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location

We enjoyed our time at this property. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped and we particularly liked the spacious daytime living area. Lovely sea views were a real bonus. Easy parking. The road to the property could do with improvement but it certainly did not detract from our stay.

A very relaxing place to put your feet up with a panoramic view of the sea.

We felt at home as soon as we entered the place, clean, light and tidy. Soon found all the facilities and settled in for our too short a stay. Loved being able to watch the birds ferreting amongst the plant life on the beach, for whatever, with the sea as a backdrop. Perfectly positioned premises for a relaxing break with a constantly changing view of the sea. Great to have off street parking too.

Third visit to Marie’s Cottage

This was our third visit to Marie’s Cottage & we had a wonderful time, just as the last couple of times we stayed there. It has improved on the cleanliness and the carpets, cushions etc looked like they’d been cleaned, but the smaller things, such as descaling the taps have been overlooked; However, as I said in my previous review, we still love it there. The location is perfect for our group’s needs & we will certainly be going back again. There was no reason for us to call the Agency for anything, but I have no doubt they would have addressed any issue immediately. We were lucky that we were there during the ‘red heatwave week’, so there was a nice gentle breeze on the beach. It would be lovely to have some sun loungers outside, like some of the other properties have. We were sad to leave, but will be back again soon. I would definitely recommend this property to peopleb

crockery dirty,shortage of storage,kitchen and bedrooms no wardrobes,exterior dirty and tired

The kitchen cupboards nearly all full,had to move old food to make room for our own,a lot of the crockery was dirty so felt we had to wash what we wanted to use.Struggled to find enough decent wine glasses{1 only}some other smaller ones.Disappointed that there was no decent hanging space for our clothes,having to make do with a rickety rail in 1 room the hangers were totally useless.The exterior of the building was in need of a good clean,the gutters,windows and the patio.We regularly rent holiday lets,twice a year and this,apart from its wonderful location was the most disappointing.

Great fresh air break.

Great smell of freshness when you walked into the premises followed by very clean appearance throughout. Place had a welcoming feeling when you walked through and everything that was necessary was quickly located. Wonderful position of the bungalow with super windows to enjoy the sea view. Very satisfactory and relaxing break. Thank you for preparing the accommodation to such a high standard.

Amazing location

We had an absolutely brilliant time at Marie’s cottage. The bungalow was immaculately clean with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Although the furniture is dated, this was not an issue at all as the view from every window was stunning and more than made up for it. The bungalow is literally right on the beach which was such a delight. We even made friends with a few of the neighbours. We would definitely recommend Marie’s Cottage, it’s especially perfect for families with dogs and small children. We will certainly return.

Second visit to this property

We like being straight on the beach in good weather and using the big inside spaces when the weather isn't as great or if we just fancy some downtime. All the rooms are generous and the house is well equipped. There are a few nearby amenities and we also ventured out to a big park and great bookshop in Bognor this year. We also managed to book a Tesco delivery before we arrived which made our trip easier! We will be back :)

3 day Christmas break

The property was very spacious, warm and well equipped including toys my young grandson enjoyed playing with. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable but they were ok. It was great being right on the beach and so fortunate the weather was so beautiful on Christmas Day. If the weather is not good it can be bleak at Pagham.

A wonderful location

This cottage has a perfect location, directly at seafront. The house is very cosy and everything what's needed is there. Interior is charming although rather modest, but has a very personal touch, you can feel that the owners use it themselves. The sanitary installations could use a little refresh. We rented the house to attend the Goodwood Revival which is quite close from Pagham Beach. We enjoyed our stay very much, and having your morning coffee (or tea) on the beach is absolutely prizeless! We can absolutely recommend this house.

The perfect getaway spot

Thank you so much it was the perfect little get away from London that we needed. Such a brilliant location and so much for our kids to do. From beach walls, country walks in the South Downs, the castle in Arundel, beach fun right on the doorstep an arcade at the bottom of the road and lots of good pubs made for a fun half term. Being able to open the door and let the kids run free was amazing. The cottage was just as expected from the pictures perfect spot and beautifully clean. Thank you too to the owners for being absolutely amazing when we had a little problem and sorting it immediately, they couldn’t have been better hosts. Would recommend.

Marie’s Cottage

This was our second stay at the cottage & it fits our needs very well. We are hoping to return on a regular basis, as it’s perfect for our needs. However, I do think there is room for improvement - spruce things up a little. The property could do with a deep clean. The surface cleaning is fine, but the taps, carpets, chairs and cushions, for example, could do with a good clean to remove stains. - The microwave is very old, as are a lot of the utensils and it would be a good idea to replace these. - it would be nice to have loungers for the outside, as the plastic chairs aren’t comfortable and a bbq would be a welcome addition. Having said this, we wouldn’t keep returning if we didn’t love it, which we absolutely do & I will actually be booking again today. Coming back to the cottage felt like our little home from home & it was lovely to know exactly what we would find. I would definitely recommend this property to others … but not until I’ve got my bookings in please . Theresa

Perfection

Very homely, well equipped and comfortable, photos don't do justice to this lovely detached bungalow. In reply to other comments, the double bed had a firm mattress, but very comfortable, the single beds were firm also, but ok. Dog owners should note that there is no enclosed gardens, so we were having to do last thing walkies, but being right on the beach makes up for it. If I had to find a disappointment it would be no welcome pint of milk, but that really is scraping the barrel and I am a big tea drinker. Large off road parking, Tesco and lots of takeaways deliver if you don't want to cook, but large fridge and freezer if you do and a Co op nearby We loved it, didn't want to leave and can't wait to return

A Great Getaway

Great stay with children. Lovely being on the beach, near the nature reserve.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay . The house was well equipped and had everything we needed and more for a three week holiday with children. The house was very comfortable and bright. Being on the beach for that long was a magical experience - we all enjoyed a daily swim and bodyboarding. The area is extremely interesting to explore for nature lovers. Pagham lagoon and wetlands are within walking distance. Bognor with its supermarkets is within easy driving distance, as is Chichester for shopping and visiting historic sites. The South Downs national park is also within easy striking distance for walking.

A much needed break

The location is FIVE STAR and Pagham a delightful spot. It is not really a cottage, but a much loved 'family gathering' second home, I would guess. We had a wonderful week together...son and grandchildren. I would like to stay again...so that says it all really. Thank you very much.

Weekend escape

I booked Marie's Cottage for a peaceful get away ... my father is reliant on oxygen and it was absolutely perfect for him to be able to sit, relax and enjoy the sea view. I was able to take my mum out for some lovely walks, of which there are many! The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and the owner, Julia, went out of her way to be helpful and kind. We would love to stay another time!

Perfect getaway

This bungalow is in a lovely location, everyone was friendly. Our family used this as a retreat from losing a loved one as we used to spend our childhood holidays in pagham. It was perfect, beautiful beach, if you are looking for a bungalow full of warmth, a home out of home look no further. Dishwasher, washing machine, wonderful views. The old arcade just a 10 minute walk away. We will be booking again next year for sure. Had such a wonderful time
