Om boendet

Ca 'di Vale: mysig lägenhet i centrum av Bologna. Rooftops utsikt över staden.

  • We rent this studio apartment for short tourist stays. We normally ask for a minimum stay of three days. The apartment is located on the second floor (with elevator) of a building located in the historic centre of Bologna, not far from the main square (Piazza Maggiore). Windows face a wide area of private backyards, so it quiet by night. The apartment offers one single room with all the necessary: a kitchenette, well equipped to prepare any kind of meal with a four ring stove, a table with four chairs, a double bed (sofa bed permanently kept open with normal queen size mattress), some other pieces of furniture. The bathroom has the basin, wc, bidet and bath. Even if not so wide our place has five windows! Maybe the best feature is the panorama over the rooftops of the historic centre.

We manage also some other beautiful accommodations in Italy: see in Venice 'Nati's House' (#8044), in Florence 'Magenta apartment' and 'Renzo's Apartment' (#13546), in Apulia 'Trullo della Luna' with swimming pool (#81166).

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is on the outskirts of the old town which meant the dining options were not touristy. All our favorite meals and food purchases were those close to the apartment. The apartment was quiet, and the small kitchen was surprisingly well stocked. We were able to walk everywhere, and we would be happy to stay here again the next time we're in Bologna.

Central Bologna apartment

I loved staying in this apartment. It is compact, comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Bologna. The building is secure and has a lift. As a solo traveller I felt very safe. The sofa bed was comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with a hot plate if you need to cook. Communication with Carlotta was excellent and she was waiting for me at 9pm after my delayed flight finally arrived. She responded quickly to all enquires. I would happily stay here again.

tutto estremamente curato

Appartamento veramente bello, curato negli arredi e in ogni dettaglio. Proprietari cortesi ed accoglienti. Posizione comodissima...

Nice appartement near to the center of Bologna

We have had a nice stay and the appartement was clean and cosy. It is quiet and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is big enough for two persons but the fridge is very small and has to be called minibar. Our tip to the owners is to reorganize the furnishing of the apartment to make space for a normal sized fridge. Surely in the summermonths it is nessessary to have enough space for keeping food cool and fresh. When you stay longer than a couple of days you could get the same problem as we had. The appartment is near to the center of Bologna. Finding a parkingspace for a car is difficult but not impossible if you are patient. Without a car you can take a taxi from the airport for only €15. It would be nice if the owners left as a extra service some recent information about Bologna. We found only some old leaflets. Close to the appartement is a very nice bakery where you can get lovely fresh cornetti for your breakfast. We felt in love with Bologna and surely we'll come back.

Francine (France)

Short holiday in Bologna.

We spent three nights in Bologna, staying in Casa di Vale. The property was just the same as described; good location - in walking distance to Piazza Maggiore (about 15 minutes), and even to the central station - it took us 25 minutes. A bus stop - several meters form the house - five stops to central station with line 21. We got detailed information and instructions from Paolo how to reach the property which we found really helpful. It was very kind we could check - in earlier than it is practised and started exploring the city shortly after arrival. The studio was very clean, nice furnished, a kitchen unit equipped enough - everything what we needed; for guests comfort - a lift in the building. Thank you Paolo for pleasant stay and great impressions from Bologna!

Cozy flat, easy walk to make great memories!

Overall, we were totally pleased with this clean, quiet & secure 3rd floor flat (with elevator). This was our first trip to Europe in many years & the first stop on our 2-week journey. We wanted to buy local foods & prepare some of our own meals. Kitchenette had basics to permit this (gas stove, toaster oven, bar fridge) & a small dining table. Sleep/rest area had fold-out bed (firm, comfy mattress), TV, wireless internet - all served us nicely for 3 nights incl. breakfast & dinners we cooked there. Bathroom had good sized sink for hand washing clothes (also small dryer rack provided), tub & handheld shower - no problem for hot water. We found a supermarket, coffee shops, wine bars & many gelati bars within 10 minutes walk. Allow 15-20 minutes to Piazza Maggiore & other main attractions. Bus from airport to central city & short walk to flat within 30-35 minutes total. To depart, we walked max 10 min to taxi stand near Piazza San Franceso then 10 min to train station for next leg of trip. Owner Paolo provided very clear directions & ease of reservations. On-site contact with Claudio who was very helpful in explaining basics of flat & local amenities (for those less familiar with travel in Europe) including recommendations for places to eat.
