120 Yr Old Cabin, Great Couple / Family Get Away

Beläget nära en liten vik med över 40 hektar mark att utforska. Spår tar dig till en liten privat vik med inhemsk öring. Från verandaen kan du se rådjur, kalkon och andra vilda djur. Denna rustika stuga flyttades 1957 från den ursprungliga familjehemmet. Hyttens kök kommer att tillgodose behoven hos helgbesökare med moderna bekvämligheter. Den privata sovrummet loft erbjuder ett stort fönster som ser över 5 hektar betesmark. I vardagsrummet finns en TV (för DVD-bara-ingen satellit eller kabel) och sortiment av DVD-skivor och spel. De viktigaste vardagsrummen har två sovsoffor som kommer att sova fyra. Vi satte med avsikt inte Wi-Fi i kabinen så att du verkligen kan komma undan. Celltjänsten är dock stark, så du kan fortfarande få text- och röstmeddelanden.
Observera: stegen till loftet sovrummet är brant ... vi rekommenderar att du går ner, som du går upp, står inför stegen .... om du gör det bra. Även de främre stegen (3 steg) på verandan är sten och den sista är högre än de två första. Det finns ett mindre steg till höger om verandaen som du kan använda för att komma in på verandan och in i huset om det behövs. Denna stuga är inte tillgänglig för handikapp.

Quiet and secluded, yet 10 minutes from downtown Boone. Basic amenities, no internet, but had mostly 5g through t-mobile. I wouldnr recommend a low profile coupe or sedan, the rocky drive near the cabin would probably be a bit of a challenge

Very cute and cozy cabin

Weekend getaway with family — there were 5 of us and we were very cozy in the cabin with ample space for sleeping and cooking meals. Loved the peaceful location just outside of town. Cabin was very clean — check in was a breeze. Plan to stay here every year for our mountain getaway.

Quiet, peaceful, a respite from the busyness of life. Primitive, historical cabin yet has everything one needs. Short hike to waterfall and creek, pastures, great place for dogs and kids to play and explore.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! Kids and pups had room to roam, felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere while still close to what we needed. We saw deer every morning and even enjoyed a hike to the falls with the best guide ever, Oreo! Already have next year booked!

Stunning!

My wife and I spent a long weekend at the cabin and it was such a peaceful getaway. The hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful and we can't thank them enough for their generosity! This is truly a magical spot. The show of thousands of fireflies observed from the porch on a summer night is an unforgettable experience. We hope to be back soon!

A beautiful spot with so much history- the photos do not do this amazing property justice!

Our family was honored to stay in this 120 year old cabin on this amazing homestead and be a tiny part of its history. Absolutely great location, lovely short walk to the waterfall, it was so relaxing and stepping back in time to the basics. We loved our time and can't wait to come back!

Cabin Getaway

Cabin is charming. Property was beautiful. The rushing water from the stream is relaxing. We had up to 11 deer visit at dawn and dusk everyday. Great to getaway and it snowing while there was amazing to experience.

Amazing family Christmas vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future. Ed you were truly amazing and very accommodating. The cabin all decorated for Christmas made it even more magical for us and our girls. We will always remember this trip and our girls sledding together in the snow.

Great getaway

My husband and i were looking for a place to get away from everything and just rest and do nothing. The cabin was the perfect spot. We had an issue with the upstairs heat when we first got there, but the owners took care of that. They were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed and knew where everything was. We didn't go anywhere, just stayed there and got the rest we needed. Great place to get away from it all. Hope to go back again sometime.

The Rustic Cabin

The rustic cabin reminded me of my grandparents home there in the NC mountains. It's conveniently located to grocery store, restaurants & allowed easy access to be with family & friends. The location was very private & isolated. Favorites: sitting on front porch rocker or lying in swing reading/napping; walking the paths to the creek which our dog especially loved; watching the deer come & go throughout the day; rabbits roaming; listening to the rain on the tin roof. We loved the cabin, but will truthfully say it is not for anyone that wants to be pet & pampered but is an experience of how our ancestors lived !!

Rustic and Peaceful but the stairs

We loved the atmosphere of the place. Nice large living area. The host is excellent. Everything was perfect except the bed is upstairs, the stairs are a bit challenging and you have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. Also, the kitchen is limited so check it out before you shop.
