Välkommen till Riverside Retreat!

Riverside Retreat är en stor stuga som är totalrenoverad och utrustad med helt nya möbler och sängkläder! Riverside Retreat sover som en 3BR - den har 2 privata sovrum, ett med en king size-säng och en med en queen size-säng och övervåningen loftet är upprättat som ett tredje sovrum med en queen size-säng, samt en sittgrupp med en drottning bäddsoffa! Det finns också en drottning bäddsoffa i den nedre familjen rum som kan fungera som en fjärde sovplats.

Huvudnivån ståtar med ett stort öppet kök och matsal, med välvda tunga i tak med synliga bjälkar och ett mysigt vardagsrum med gasspis spis och HDTV. Det finns en drottning Master Suite på huvudplan med eget badrum. På övervåningen finns ett stort öppet loft som upprättats som ett sovrum med queen size-säng, men har även två-sits arkadmaskin med 50 olika arkadspel och en sittgrupp med en bekväm drottningsbäddsoffa. Det finns också ett komplett badrum på övervåningen. Nedre våningen har ett spelrum och familjerum med stor HDTV och xbox One, biljardbord och drottning bäddsoffa. Det finns ett andra sovrum svit nere med en king size-säng, HDTV och ett badrum.

Riverside Retreat erbjuder centralvärme och luftkonditionering, ett tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och torktumlare, och tillåter husdjur - endast hundar med vanliga husdjurskostnader.

Av den nedre nivån finns en täckt innergård med gungstolar och en badtunna som vetter mot floden nedanför. Huvudnivån har ett stort friluftdäck på sidan av huset, med Adirondack-stolar, ett stort uteserveringsbord och en gasgrill. Framsidan av huvudnivån har en täckt veranda med bekväma utemöbler som vetter ut mot floden och bergen på andra sidan.

En lat nedförsbacke från stugan leder till en stor, platt gräsbevuxen öppning som är tillräckligt stor för alla slags roliga utomhusaktiviteter! Det finns en eldgrop och hundratals meter på den nya floden som parallellt sidan av denna stora fast egendom, alla privata och din att njuta av! Ovanför stugan finns mer skogsklädda tunnland med omarkerade spår att utforska. Fastigheten är privat, erbjuder trädbevuxen och klart mark att njuta av, liksom gott om flod fasad !!

Riverside Retreat ligger bara några minuter från centrala Boone, mindre än 14 miles till Blowing Rock, och mindre än 24 miles till Banner Elk. Valle Crucis ligger bara 20 miles bort. Appalachian Ski Mtn och Tweetsie Railroad är båda ca 10 miles away; Sugar Mtn Si Resort och Hawksnest Snow Tubing och Zip Lines är båda ca 20 miles away; Ski Beech är mindre än 30 miles away. Farfar Mountain är också mindre än 20 miles från kabinen! Du får både privatliv och bekvämlighet vid Riverside Retreat!

Spacious and Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and secluded but only minutes from Boone. We really enjoyed the spacious common area. It was a great place to visit with my family who lives locally. The only problems we had were with the HVAC system. The upstairs stayed too hot, while the downstairs was too cold. Adjustment of the thermostats seemed to have no effect on the temperature.

Last minute Thanksgiving vacay

Our family decided to go to the mountains for Thanksgiving break. We were so happy to secure a place that allowed dogs. We were able to get in two hours early on Thanksgiving day, easy to get intouch with management company, house was very clean upon arrival, and the pictures don’t do the house justice. This cabin was perfect for my family of two teen boys, two small dogs, and my husband and me. We will definitely come back again!

Wonderful stay!!

What an amazing cabin to stay in for our family vacation! The location, the river, the quiet…It was all so perfect! We enjoyed floating in the river, bonfires, breakfast and dinner outside on the porch, visiting grandfather mountain and grandfather winery. The cabin was so cozy and clean! We would highly recommend this cabin!

Fun getaway

We enjoyed staying at this property. Close (walking distance) to river for fishing. This property was also close to Boone. Many options for activities to meet everyone's needs. I would recommend this property for a fun stay.

Overall the stay was great! We were a little disappointed that the walk to the water and fire pit was so long and big terrain to get to. Also, not as remote as we had thought. The pool table was hit with my family.

Amazing family time

Our trip was a short spontaneous trip and it was excellent! The cabin was in an excellent location and the owner’s provided games that came in handy. We enjoyed walking around on the mountain and down to the river. It was in perfect location to go to Boone or Blowing Rock. I just can’t explain how much we all enjoyed this get away and the cabin with its location and amenities were largely responsible! Can’t wait to plan a return trip!

Great cabin in the mountains. Perfect for what we were looking for. The kids loved the arcade and pool table. We used the hot tub only once because it wasn't the cleanest. We enjoyed the fire pit down by the river. Would go back again!

Family vacation

The house is great with plenty of room for everyone., we are a family of 9. We even used the downstairs hallway for additional sleeping. The kitchen is large with plenty of cabinets for storage. Bathrooms are roomy and one on each floor. The pool table was a big hit and kept the kids entertained. Our family loved the river location and spent lots of time there. It is a hike down with 2 switchbacks and muddy in some spots. Bring pool tubes for a great river experience. The rope swing up the hill was fun. We even had a deer and chipmunk visit us at the house. The location is quite close to Boone and yet we felt remote. However: the gravel driveway is quite steep and you must start out “flooring the accelerator”. We got stuck the first time up and had to unload our bikes to make it up. 4 wheel drive would be needed in the winter. We arrived 30 minutes after check in and the cleaning staff was just finishing up. They said that they were called late to clean. There was dog hair everywhere and dog food scattered throughout the main floor. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean. We had to take towels out of the dryer. We had towels for 4 and no extra sheets for the pull out sofa beds. This was frustrating because they had asked ages of each person who would be there. We couldn’t call the management company because the internet service was poor and we had 4 wrong passwords written in many locations. We finally were able to use a land like to get in touch with them. Late that evening they did bring the linens and check out the leak under the sink. We were given another password for the internet and this worked but access continued to go off and on. We had some in our party who needed to work from the house and this was most difficult due to the continued break in the internet. There was a septic tank odor coming from under the sink and other areas of the house at times. Front door knob was broken. And our security access code was wrong. We had to leave a door unlocked until we could call the management company on the road for a correct code. All of this was disappointing, frustrating, and took up time. We feel that the management company should do a better job of maintenance between renters. However, it did not stop us from having a great time. We would even consider a return trip. I would recommend the house for vacations and hopefully management company addresses the issues.

Great House but long walk down hill to river

House had great layout, was very clean and overall had what we needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen has the bare basics and could use more of what it had and some additional items to make it better. The location was ok but the river is down a steep hill so to access it you must walk down a long path that zig zags back and forth to even make it walkable as straight down would be to steep to walk. The view of the river from the house is limited. If you chose this house be sure to bring toliet paper, paper towels and dishwasher soap as you will not be given enough for your stay.

A must stay

Beautiful & Secluded although only 10-15 mins from Appalachian State. Loved this place. We will return in the Summer. If you plan on going in the winter a 4X4 or at least front wheel drive vehicle would be best.

Nice getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was well equipped for everything that we needed. The kids loved the arcade games and pool table. The front porch was relaxing. The only negative was that we were never able to use the hot tub. We called multiple times and had someone come out and look at it but we were never able to get the temperature up high enough to enjoy it. Overall it was a great property though and we would rent again.

Getaway Cabin

Excellent house to just get away from. Great space for a family to unwind and relax inside and out. Great indoor activities with pool table, game table in loft and electronics. Open kitchen and dining area. Awesome outdoor space with deck and front porch - enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the morning and wine in the evening. There is a bit of a walk to the fire pit but it was a great place to have a fire and enjoy making s’mores. The firefly show at night did not disappoint.

Beautiful getaway

We found this cabin perfect for the four of us and our dogs. The trail to the river was meticulously maintained and very easy for even our 14 year old Pomeranian to traverse. We also ordered door dash a couple of times and the delivery drivers had no issue finding it. The only downside I would add would be that the WiFi was very slow and spotty and most text messages would not go through.

Beautiful Cabin

We enjoyed the cabin so much. It was absolutely gorgeous and very well done. I do recommend a four wheel drive. It snowed right before our trip and the driveway was very steep. It was very clean and tidy. I would love to go back during the summer to enjoy the river!
