“Very nice stay! We enjoyed the privacy of the cabin with proximity to Lake Lure. The cabin was perfect for our 3 generations: main floor BR for 89-yr old, plus 32-yr old w/ 2 dogs, and 68-yr old middle. Varying needs and all met! One cautionary comment, and the reason for my one 4 star rating (accuracy of listing) - the fenced dog yard is secure and big, but it's very steep (not apparent in the pic), both the yard itself and the access steps. An old or very small dog could struggle. Ours were...

“We had an absolute blast at Piney Knob cabin! The location was perfect. It was secluded and quiet and very peaceful. Even got some fishing done! The cabin was super clean and nice! Easy check in and check out process! We will definitely be returning in the future!”

“My husband and I stayed at this property a little over a year ago, and decided to return for a few days to get away from the hustle and bustle at home. The place is truly gorgeous...well furnished and stocked with all the essentials. The two screened porches are a BIG asset in mosquito territory, and the gas fireplaces are just right for those cool mornings and evenings. A great quiet place for couples, but also big enough for the whole family. Had a great time!”

“We went to do some hiking, the property was in a great location within an hour of all of the places we wanted to go ( Crabtree falls, Chimney Rock, Tom’s falls). Loved the Linville winery. The owners left plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc. The kitchen was well equipped. All of the bedrooms were very comfortable. Loved the game room and views from the porch!”

“I stayed here while attending a show at TIEC. It's about 20-22 mins away which is not bad, you just have to plan for meals as everything is a little further away. It was nice to have a quiet place to get away from the busy show atmosphere so I would recommend this if you are showing at Tryon or just visiting the area.”

“Outstanding little place to stay!! Ms. Denise is an incredibly warm and friendly manager!! Very sweet lady!! No dishes or cookware, which was my only disappointment. You download an app to pay for laundry. (Currently $3) Still, it was better equipped than most m/hotels I've stayed in.
