“Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in einer Oase der Ruhe. Die Zimmer/Apartments sind extrem großzügig, haben alles was man braucht, inclusive Holzofen für kalte Nächte. Tracy an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Nachhinein wären wir gerne länger geblieben. ”

“We had a great one night stay when taking the NCCR (New Cape Central Railway) wine tasting train in Robertson. Good walking distance to the raiway. Friendly staff, great beds, excellent location and stunning gardens. I especially loved the sculptures in the garden. We bought some food and wine after the train, and had a stay at home tapas dinner. The staff helped us to make a fire, and we sat outside in the fall evening enjoying the lovely outdoor space ”

“My wife and I stayed for two nights. We had the Africa Suite which was comfortable, well furnished and spacious with a huge naturally-lit bathroom. The property itself is well maintained with lovely semi tropical gardens and a nice pool area. 4 stars would not be enough but I would have given 4 1/2 if I could for a couple of reasons. (1) the hotel is a long way from the centre (30/40 minute walk at least and) where most of the restaurants are and (2) although efficient, the lady on reception...

“Lovely hotel in a lovely small town. Nice to stroll around and good hiking in the vicinity. Had a very nice room, Garden suite, (were upgraded). Nice staff. Good food but perhaps a bit overpriced. The same glass of (own) wine that cost R 55 at the hotel cost considerably less at a different restaurant in town. All in all we were very happy with our stay and can definitely recommend Mimosa Lodge!”

“Our stay was great. The host was outside and greeted us when we drove up. She directed us to our room (an upgrade) and explained the services, mainly breakfast since it was winter. Speaking of breakfast, the hot plate was delicious, a great start to our morning. Only issue was the cold. It was in the high 30s/low 40s and there was no heat in the room or breakfast area. The extra blanket helped, but there was no where to sit that was a reasonable temperature. The staff we met were all fabulous....

“Excellent stay at La Sosta hotel which is connected to what is one of the most amazing Italian restaurants ever experienced outside Italy. The passion, creativity and attention to details of Salvatore, Nina and their team are exceptional and value their sense of hospitality and kindness. Both the guesthouse and restaurant are a must-see, must do. And by the way, that risotto was amazing! ”

“This is one of my favourite places near Robertson. Beautiful setting with a little pond you can overlook from the bar. In the evening phantastic atmosphere and vwry peaceful. Also the staff very friendly and I received an excellent breakfast. Had been here before when it still was Rosendal Winery. Now new owners who have some excellent ideas how to develop the place. I really enjoyed the discussion with them. Hope to come back one day and see the further development”
