Summer Camp Cabin Mountain Retreat

  • Denna avskilda 4 sovrum 2 badrum Mountain Retreat, på en 5 tunnland paket, är som att hyra din egen privata statspark. Stugan ligger inom bekvämt (4 minuter) gångavstånd till Slick Rock Mountains privata 12 tunnland bad- och fiskesjö! Denna 2 våningar familjstuga sover bekvämt 8. På övervåningen finns en öppen planlösning, vardagsrum / kök / matsal med drottning sovrum och badrum. Nedervåningen är ett 3 sovrum (drottning, dubbel och spjäll = 2 tvillingar) med ytterligare ett badrum och tvättmaskin torktumlare. Även bottenvåningen har nyligen renoverats med helt nya trägolvgolv i hela. Kabinen är laddad med alla typer av moderna bekvämligheter, som platt-TV, wifi, enorm eldstad och ett välfylldt kök!
    De många verandorna ger dig en "in the woods getaway-känsla" och den utomhus eldstaden, picknickbord, grill och stolar gör det till ett perfekt sommarläger för din familj.
    Slick Rock Mountain är ett privat 350 tunnland berg som ligger i Brevard NC. Denna tyst, tillbaka till natursamhället, är perfekt beläget för att njuta av DuPont statsskog (där filmen Hunger Games filmades) samt Pisgah National Forest och Blue Ridge Parkway. Brevards slogan är "Land of Waterfalls" och av goda skäl finns det många fantastiska vandringar till dessa vackra vattenfall och många andra utomhusaktiviteter för naturälskare unga som gamla, från mountainbike, flod forsränning, ridning, vandring, fiske eller bara koppla av på däck för att se en underbar solnedgång.

Beautiful cabin in the forest.

This is a beautiful cabin nestled in the forest. We enjoyed everything about it, inside and out. It was a short drive to all the waterfalls, covered bridges, shops, restaurants, and much more. It was very clean and very well furnished. Would definitely recommend!

Family Reunion Getaway

Perfect spot to hang out, swim, enjoy nature, and relax! We met up with several relatives and the house had everything we needed to grill out, enjoy s'mores in the evening, and get out during the day to enjoy the lake and surrounding forest.

Amazing location

We loved out stay at the cabin, the easy access to the lake for swimming. Our 2 year old loved the beach, swing and slide. The mushrooms growing all over the woods around the cabin were amazing too.

October family get together

Enjoyed our stay. It was a great place to gather, visit the national park, hike and fish. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfy, and very quiet. Lots of deer and white squirrels. Highly recommend.

Relaxed Thanksgiving Vacation

Comfortable cabin in relaxed private community. Dated but in a charming way that makes you feel more at home than in a hotel. Communication with the owners was fantastic. Our stay was right after a major hurricane and the property had been nicely cleaned up.

The house is in a great location. Deer in the yard in the mornings. Not far from town but feels like it’s miles from anywhere. Nice fire pit. Lake is beautiful!!

Where dreams come true.

This property was an amazing place. This was one of the first hole family trips that we enjoyed together and we made lots of awesome memories here. The best part was seeing my grandson seeing and interacting with his first deer that just came up to the house. The property had everything that you could need and more. Highly recommend to everyone.

Amazing property and location

This is the second time we have stayed here and definitely won’t be the last. Love everything about this property. Location is great to hiking and waterfalls. Deer and white squirrels in the backyard. An amazing screen porch to enjoy your morning coffee. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Great cabin with lake for swimming/fishing

Overall, great cabin with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The decks and screened in porch was very nice. Multiple homes in the area, but cabin was private. Access to the lake was wonderful for swimming and fishing. Our kids really enjoyed this. Host was quick to respond to a few questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

White squirrel weekend

Beautiful grounds, house has perfect layout. Enjoyed swings on porches. Great kitchen. We walked to lake and caught several fish. We saw several white squirrels running around the yard! We sat around large fire pit at night. Perfect house for a visit to Brevard!

The cabin is much more than we could of ever imagined. The cabin has everything a group would need and more. Never would I have imagined that the family was setting around talking on the most comfortable deck until middle of the night. Thanks for sharing this property with us

Perfect for our family

A beautiful setting for a weekend away. A family member was getting married at the pavilion so it was nice to have a place of our own. The kitchen had everything you would need and more. There was plenty of space and the Master bedroom was beautiful. Great for families where you can put the kids in the ground level bedrooms. The ground floor bedrooms share a nice bath with a washer and dryer. They are what you would expect from the era the cabins on Slick Rock were built. Perfect for teens who like to sleep in.

Cabin in the Woods

Nice wooded property. Upstairs layout very good with nicely equipped kitchen, large great room with gas fireplace, and spacious master bedroom and bath. Lower floor bedrooms were small and dark not as nicely done as the main level. Bath was small to serve 3 bedrooms. Outdoor firepit area was not cleaned up and wood was a huge pile uncovered so it was mostly wet. A decent stack of split wood covered should have been provided.

Great all the way around

The property is in a small community. The community itself is secluded, as is this property. You aren't right up next to someone, but there are homes close enough that if you needed help of some kind it wouldn't be a problem. It's about a 20 minute drive in to Brevard. The cabin was clean and cozy; everything worked. The back porch is screened in and is a great spot to chill and take in the peaceful surroundings. Saw deer, turkey, and of course the white squirrels. You can walk to the lake in about 5 minutes... very pretty lake. Plenty of bluegill for the little ones. I heard the lake is stocked and the trout bite when it gets colder. Owner of the property was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Cabin

It was a ways back to this cabin, but I loved it. It was so quiet & secluded and 2 resident white squirrels. Deck & porches were great. Downstairs rooms are rather dark. House has window units for a/c which was rather noisy in great room; and there was no unit in upstairs bedroom. Wish we had more time to spend enjoying the quiet and that lovely lake

Great Family Stay

We had such a great stay with our three kids (10, 13, and 16)! The bedrooms downstairs were fantastic for the kids (their own spaces) and the open floor plan upstairs was great for all of us. The kitchen had all amenities we needed for cooking at home. We enjoyed family game night with all the games provided, and enjoyed s’mores one night with the great fire pit outside. We visited Brevard, Asheville, Pisgah Forest and Dupont Forest before dropping the kids at camp. We hope to be back so soon! We saw the white squirrels right outside our window and the kids thought ALL the wildlife was so magical!

Visiting our NC family.

We loved the peace and serenity of the rental, and this is our second year to stay there. The fishing is wonderful and the location allows for privacy but is convenient to restaurants, stores, and attractions. The only down side are the extreme VRBO fees, insurance, etc. Would be nice if trusted (returning) customers could be somewhat discounted on the fees.
