Quiet and Quaint
What a wonderful step into a 1950 cottage. It had a well equipped kitchen and the bedrooms are spacious. Luxurious bed linen and towels. Dog friendly is what we loved the most even though there isnt fencing around the house, you dont need it cause the place is very elevated. Beautiful views from the outdoor verandah and deck. There is a small shop and bottleshop one km away. Host, Georgina was so good with communication. We loved Bridgetown and surrounding towns as they are very accommodating for dogs. Def recommend.

Charming country getaway
Lovely character cottage with beautiful views, large deck overlooking the valley and plenty of space for our two dogs. Lots of space for parents, adult child and teenager. Beautiful mature roses and other flowering plants. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with tasteful linens. Quick 5 minute drive into town for provisions, a meal out or shopping. Thank you for sharing this lovely location with visitors - just what our family needed to getaway and re-connect.

Spacious Cottage on beautiful property, amazing view!
We had a great stay at Golden Rose Cottage! Georgina is an incredible host with fast, courteous communications. The cottage is very spacious, large rooms with high ceilings. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds I've ever had!!! And a unique surprise for a rental was a sharp kitchen knife!! A rare find and mush appreciated if you like to cook. The kitchen is very well stocked with all you need for preparing and serving meals. The oven/cooktop performs very well. The outdoor deck is a brilliant installation with incredible views of the stars and the valley. I found the town a pleasant walk and the surrounding area to be wonderful neighborhoods. It was cold at night and the mornings, and the cottage is stocked with wood for the wood burning stove. And there is a heater in the kitchen to get things warming up in the morning. Very dog friendly which we appreciated. I highly recommend a stay here!

Golden rose
Loved sitting out on the deck looking at the stars while having a drink. Very clean and tidy beautiful location , a very relaxing stay. We will be revisiting the cottsge at some point.

Hi Ben, unfortunately we did experience a very unexpected rodent fatality neat the bathroom and rear of the house just before Christmas. We had contracted experts to come in and manage this and were told the smell was resolved. So we resumed bookings. I am sorry the faint remnant's were detected near this outhouse area during your stay. I have had other guests indicate all was fine prior so I believed this all was under control. Upon your feedback I am coordinating another contractor now and will check myself to ensure a complete resolution to this immediately. Thank you for alerting us with this review. Family holiday
We had a lovely, relaxing family break at the cottage. Very clean and cozy inside, the gardens, deck and views outside were stunning. Overall a beautiful place with amazing views. We would love to return! The added bonus, we could bring our dog along ❤ The only downside...we didnt stay long enough!

Perfection!
Golden Rose Cottage is perfect. Such a beautiful cosy cottage with absolutely gorgeous views. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The kitchen was stocked well with all the things we needed when cooking, which was really handy. And the doggos had the time of their lives running around the property. We would return in a heartbeat. The deck and verander looking out over the beautiful hills makes this cottage extra special. 5 stars!!

Four Leaf Clover Cottage!
This was our second stay at GoldenRose and it was even better this time around. The cottage is so comfortable for a winter holiday. The little potbelly in the lounge easily warmed the front of the house and the bedrooms while the reverse cycle unit took care of the kitchen and dining rooms. The gardens were lush and the kids found TWO four leaf clovers 🍀 making this the luckiest cottage in Bridgetown. Thankfully they also provide a clothes dryer as all 3 kids spent hours outside enjoying the gardens and managed to get thoroughly soaked 😅

A Lovely Getaway
We had a delightful stay at Golden Rose Cottage. It was spotlessly clean, full of character with every added extra you could possibly need. The cosy lounge room with a pot belly stove meant that we were warm despite the cold snap in Bridgetown. We loved the view and area, close to town and very convenient. Georgina was super helpful and communication was excellent. We couldn’t fault our experience and will definitely book again!

Golden Rose Cottage
Very peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. Clean and tidy cottage. I would like to point out that the cottage is actually up stairs that have no hand rails. This proved to be a problem for me, as l am actually disabled. Also you are led to believe that you have aircon in both front bedroom. This is not actually the case - but the room are cooled from the sitting room and kitchen aircon. This meant that I did not sleep for 2 nights as my body was too hot. You also go down stairs to the bathroom.

Beautiful location, clean and pet friendly!
Loved this stay. This is a pet friendly home but no fences so if your doggie runs then you’ll need to keep an eye on them. The property manager made this very clear at the outset. My doggie loved it though enough space to sniff and roam around! I don’t think he wanted to leave! Very clean, traditional Aussie home with a veranda that overlooks the hills. Bird life was everywhere. The owners have built a viewing deck too which is lovely. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect!
Golden Rose Cottage has so much character. It's comfortably furnished for a family of 5 or 6 and has plenty of room outside for kids to play and explore. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. The views from the deck are beautiful and relaxing, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Idyllic home overlooking glorious views of the surrounding valley
Golden Rose proved to be as described, and Georgina is a great host, very quick to reply to any messages and appreciative to be told if there was any small hiccup. It is an idyllic country home, perfect for a peaceful, calm, restful getaway. The weather was cold and damp during much of our 3 night stay at the end of October. But with the pot belly going in the living room, assisted by the reverse-cycle air conditioner in the kitchen, we stayed warm as we spent a lazy Sunday watching some of the plethora of DVDs available. We were even able to enjoy the fire pit on 2 of our nights there. The kitchen was well enough equipped for us to enjoy the meals we ate there. The beds were comfortable so that even though I live with chronic pain a was able to enjoy a good nights sleep. Thank you again Georgina.

This was our second year staying at Golden Rose. We came back not just for the beautiful scenery, but how comfortable the home is. Our dogs loved chasing each other around the big property & there are so many hiking trails within driving distance. We love Bridgetown, it's such a beautiful place. A peaceful and lovely place to stay for a relaxing getaway. It was great that the place accommodated our fury family member which we very much appreciated. Lovely stay in an old family cottage with wide open view over the valley. Well equipped, lovely comfy bed and fortunately our weather was good so didn’t need to use the stove! For a slice of heaven to wind down from the hetic lifestyle that we have all become familiar with.,.
Golden Rose Cottage has it all... The views,... tranquility...friendly beautiful Birdlife...to the warm welcoming townsfolk.... You were able to create what ever mood or your imagination desired.. From within the great vibe of the cottage, to the vibe views serenity and the many areas outside to choose and my favourite ...the stars above. Best too, were the night sleeps the beds worked their magic which made waking up to a coffee and the day ahead hazzle free Our doggies Keisha and Odin enjoyed themselves too as they were welcomed as part of the family too. Georgie and Raymond had every base covered and we're happy to help if needed or leave you to it also Certainly recommending on others, and have already booked for the winter. Bridge Town has a lot to offer as well as all the little Townships close by. Enjoy......you will not be disappointed...

Perfect Family Getaway
This beautiful cottage was perfect for our needs. The fact we could bring our two pups was such a bonus. The wide gardens all around the property is a dog's paradise! We especially loved the deck under a gum tree and ate here every night, celebrating a special birthday under the magical stars. Perfect location with magnificent views, we can't wait to return.

Peaceful Stay
Very peaceful location and great for staying with a dog. Close to the river (6 minutes drive) for walks and swims and close to town for cafes, bakery, shops, etc. House had everything we needed and kept us cool during the Xmas heatwave in between swims in the river.

What a lovely find.
We were 2 baby boomer couples who went to the Blues in Bridgetown. Such a lovely, quiet cottage away from the main activity. Very well equipped with everything we could need. Even picked a couple of avocados from a very large tree. The deck is a real winner where we had our sundowners before heading into the Main Street.

Charming Cottage
The cottage had wonderful views from the front deck and kitchen window. It was very well appointed with lots of little extras. The beds were comfortable as was the lounge. Hope to return one day and will be recommending the cottage to friends.
