“Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. ”

“Dina was so lovely and friendly! She was very hospitable and did not fail to reassure us to let her know if we needed anything at all. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was impeccable - not even hotels are that clean! There was not a single spec of dust and you could tell that this business cleans everything thoroughly. Highly recommend over a hotel💯”

“Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“Great well lit parking and nice desk staff. Bathroom floor has a build up of dirt in corners especially beside toilet. Carpets are worn dark grey prompting us to search for bed bugs but found none on the old mattresses. Blankets have cigarette burn holes. Bedding and towels seemed clean. ”

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“It’s a quick last minute place to book but beware just because the go station is accross it. It will take you an hour to walk or a 10 minute uber to the go station”

“We arrived here late in the around midnight with our toddler and there was massive party in the lobby. The rooms were unkept and extremely small. There was also a smell in the room. This is not a hotel that I would recommend in the future.”

“I have stayed at this hotels various times before, and have always been very happy with my choice. The rooms a spacious, clean, good space to work, modern. Breakfast is excellent, and it is close to many restaurants in the area. Free parking. It fills my requirements, and more!”
