"This is a wounderful hotel, located in a little bit calmer area of Florence. The breakfast was generous and the restaurant was nice and quiet. From the top floor you have an excellent view of the river. The staff is also very serviceminded and it feels more like a five star hotel in many aspects. We celebrated our honeymoon at the hotel 20 years ago and were delighted to come back this september. "

"Best hotel in the best of the 5 cities of Cinque terre. Wonderful personanle service, great breakfast with freshly baked pastries and egg dishes and coffees made upon request. The hotel is situated ideally from the train station in Vernazza, overall we found this village the cosiest and most accessible from the train station. We had a room with a balcony and private bathroom and can strongly recommend booking it. Some of the other rooms are sharing a bathroom. The hotel has several quaint outdoor terraces and a fridge full of beverages (both alcoholic and not) that you can serve yourself and put on your tab. But if you are lucky someone in the staff will be there and you will get great service and a good chat. Only downside is that breakfast starts quite late, at 8.15. But we still had plenty of time for hiking"
