“The food wasn’t very good. Good enough to get by for a short stay but that’s about it. Bar staff were great and prepared drinks quick but they were really lacking. Very basic. Cleaning staff were very nice but no extras in the room or mini fridge. No pool service for food or drink. Not a bad resort so long as you know ahead of time what you’re going to get. Check in and out were a breeze. Very uncomplicated, front desk staff were very prepared ”

“Beware the bugs! Noseeums make it impossible to hang out poolside outside the hottest hours, making evening activities also impossible. ”

“The staff was really wonderful, especially Justo at the Expedia desk. There was a mix-up with our booking and he was so kind and helpful and hospitable. Took the time to make things special for us which we all appreciated greatly. The beach and grounds are incredibly beautiful as well. ”

“I stayed in the Family Selection and liked how close to the pool and The Nest restaurant we were. The food was great every time we ate breakfast, lunch or dinner there. All the restaurants we ate at were good overall, depending on what you ordered. The butler service was the best perk ever. Josue, Moises and Isaias were all incredible. They really went above and beyond to help us and provided top notch service. The complimentary sun shirts for our 13 year olds was a life saver (skin saver!)...

“I recently stayed at Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa and unfortunately the experience did not match the expectations of an adults-only resort. While the property is marketed as adults only, it shares facilities with Dreams Resort, and there were kids throughout many of the common areas. This made it feel less like a true adults-only getaway. The service at the lobby was also disappointing. Staff often didn’t know basic information such as opening and closing times for restaurants and amenities....
