Fritidshus i Builth Wells

“Well maintained and characteristic property with exposed beams and period features combined with modern decor and facilities. The only thing to be aware of is there is no shower in either bathroom (likely due to low ceilings), although both have a mixer tap with a showerhead so you can sit / kneel and shower this way. Whilst its proximity to the road is close, it was not a busy road, so passing traffic was not an issue during our stay. There was a pub within 1min walk of the property that also...

“I stayed in the Hayloft. My hosts could not have been more charming. The Hayloft was beautifully furnished and much care had gone into it. The one thing that I think let it down was the quality of the beds - 4 singles - the mattress lacked support and you could actually feel the springs in it. I think a mattress upgrade would match the high quality bedding that is provided. The only other thing was that the fridge was switched off and open when I arrived. Maybe this is the way it is done in...

“The cottage is situated amongst farmland environment. We received a great welcome and very helpful information for good eating and trips. Excellent views Kevin and Tracey were very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Overall a wonderful stay and I highly recommend them.”

“This has been our second stay at this location, although this time we stayed at Highland view. the reason we came back is because of the large fenced garden area with wire mesh so the dog can be let loose without a worry. Bed was very comfy with clever storage underneath, hot tub was perfect, and the caravan seems new and well kept. Excellent views as well and we will definitely come again! A couple of suggestions that can improve the visitor experience: The smoke alarm went off too easily, we...

“This was a last minute thing that my family member had booked with her friend but unfortunately there was a family emergency that meant she was unable to go. I jumped at the opportunity as My sister, who has had cancer and in remission, was able to come with me. We obviously knew all the details of the location and accommodation, but when it came to go to bed, up a ladder, we expected a room, but instead there was a thin double mattress on a platform of wood, and there was no way we could stand...

“Amazing!! Loved it, great location. So well equipped and spotless. Appreciated milk etc. Great value for money. Thank you.”

“The views are stunning, the local town is lovely. The first look of badgers view we were so excited. Then we entered to hut. It didn’t smell clean, the floors were dirty luckily there was a broom there so I could sweep up the last guests dirt. The kitchen is in much need of a make over, the sides are in awful condition, the fridge is cracked, the floor is all over the place, it’s starting to dip. The floor boards are starting to come apart this is due to the damp. The whole kitchen looked dirty....

“Exceptionally clean property, beautiful views, very quiet location, lovely cake on arrival from the host. Small but perfectly formed and although the furniture is a little dated, it has everything you could possibly need. Real fire with plenty of wood. Well equipped kitchen and fairly new bathroom.”

“A welcoming, rural retreat! Horsecroft is a real home from home where the hosts go above and beyond to provide every comfort. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with stunning views, only a few minutes away from glorious Hay on Wye.Really loved staying here. Thank you Nicky and Tim.”
