“We stayed at this house for our daughter’s graduation from the University of Richmond. Campus was 10 to 15 minutes away. Grocery store is minutes away. Great to have 2-1/2 baths with six adults in the house getting ready. Plenty of space for all of us to hang out together. Christian was very responsive to any communication I had with him. Great place to stay.”

When we stayed there was construction on both sides (the only downfall of trip)- otherwise, fantastic spot, great fishing and would return!”

“We stayed at the house for a long weekend for our son’s lacrosse game at The University of Richmond. The house was clean and was exactly as pictured. The fire pit in the back was a nice plus and we really liked the lights above it. The house was close to many stores and an easy ride to other locations in Richmond.”

“My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront house. Al was very responsive to all my questions. He and his wife attended to all the details that would make guests comfortable. Features that stood out included the cleanliness of the house, the view of the lake from so many areas of the house, the wildlife on the lake, and the opportunity to kayak and fish from the property itself.”

“This cottage was straight out of Country Living Magazine. All you could want with a bottle of wine awaiting arrival. Coffee creamers, pods, eggs, make up remover pads etc. It was immaculate and comfy. We highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.”

“The house was great. The only issue is the path to the lake was not cut. Weeds/grass are 10-12 inches high. The neighbors grass was cut but there was strict guidance to walk on the left side of the neighbors tree and of course that was in the tall grass. Other than that everything was great and we would stay there again.”

“A group of us gathered for a bit of a staycation from the Richmond area. We had a ladies night on Friday and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better location!! Saturday we had some other friends join us for food on the water and it was the most relaxing setting for us to reset and connect. The kitchen was pleasantly stocked with utensils and gadgets, one friend was like "wow, they have everything!". The yard and patios are well maintained and perfect for gathering, and we really enjoyed...

“Very pretty Property. Comfortable, Welcoming, and spacious. The beds and pillows very comfy and nice. Beautiful views. Kitchen has everything needed. We loved the fire place and fire pit. One tip would be to have more information about how the all TV's work - Instructions on starting the gas fire place, fixing the ice machine, and the one burner on the stove would be a plus and having all light fixtures working upon arrival. Great Family Location. We hope to visit this property again.”

“Base Camp D was once again the perfect gathering place for our family Thanksgiving celebration. The kids took over the basement (and hot tub) while the adults visited upstairs. Sitting on the porch next to the heater was perfect for reading, meditating, and intimate conversations. Our only glitch was the breaker throwing twice but maintenance came right away. Wonderful place!”
