Nya 2019 Badrumsrenoveringar och nu en tvättmaskin och torktumlare! Bilderna kommer snart att uppdateras. Denna 3 sovrum 2 bad stuga är precis vad familjen behöver komma undan och njuta av alla Blue Ridge Mountains har att erbjuda. Vandra bergspåren, sitta på verandan över Cattail Creek eller ta en bil till Blue Ridge Parkway. Verandaen ligger strax ovanför en brummande vass. Det finns mycket att göra runt området. De tre sovrummen har en queen size-säng i ett rum, två enkelsängar i ett annat rum och tre enkelsängar i ett annat rum. En av vardagsrummen har en utdragbar soffa. Det finns ett badrum med dusch och ett annat badrum med badkar. Det finns ett stort rum med en stor sektions soffa, tv, komplett kök och bord. Det finns en vedeldad spis i det andra vardagsrummet. Kabinen har också en värmare i huvuddelen men är inte öppen under högsvintermånaderna (kontrollera tillgängligheten). Vi har också luftkonditionering i huvudrummet. Vi ser fram emot att ha dig!

Fall getaway

Great cabin for spending quality time with loved ones. Layout is perfect for it. Just what my family needed to recharge our batteries. The host provides a lot of helpful information beforehand, and I particularly enjoyed the various suggestions or tips posted throughout the cabin. Rather thoughtful.We'll definitely be back one day.

Needed retreat

This stay was wonderful. It was the perfect place for me and my senior, best friend, dog. We have a wonderful, restful, quiet, peaceful time. Listening and watching to the creek ramble over the rocks below, while having coffee and reading on the deck was fabulous! We hope to come back again soon.

Great place for a family get together

We had a fun and relaxing time at the cabin while escaping the awful heat back home. Great place for all ages. A hike to MtMitchell, jumping rocks in the creek, s’mores over the fire, lots of games, reading on the back porch rockers, and sketching the view of the creek.

Great Cabin

Great cabin in the mountains with a small waterfall right below the covered deck. Large living room and kitchen (which had just been remodeled). This was our 2nd time here and we probably come back next year.

Beautiful and relaxing

Everything was as described. Very clean and host was super helpful. Our kids and grandkids spent one night and hungout the next day. Plenty of room and they had a blast in the creek. We would highly recommend this property.

Perfect get away!

We loved the cottage. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and tje 2 little dogs. We loved tje creek below and the vidit from the bears 🐻. We loved beimg able to have a fire pit for bonfires. We lost power for 2 hours no big deal.

Great location and nice cabin, but unfortunately it was not clean. We had to wipe everything down. There were so many cobwebs and dust bunnies and general uncleanliness that we felt very uncomfortable.

Great Mountain Retreat

Spent birthday with family and twin sister, including 88 year old mother. Plenty of room to spread out. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. Spent much of the time sitting on the back porch which overlooked a small waterfall. A little piece of heaven.

Weekend Getaway

Two years ago we first visited and the updates add to the charm of the cabin. It has everything we need for our diverse group of 4 adults, 3 young kids, and 2 dogs. The location is breathtaking and provides multiple adventures in the creek along the waterfall or walking on the local roads. The location has a few quirks that come with age and the reality of cleaning a cabin in the woods. We loved the place because it provides so many different kinds of entertainment for our family.

Beautiful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at cattail creek. The view from the back porch was awe inspiring. The neighbors were friendly. We walked the road and some trails up near the cabin. Most of our stay we just spent up on the mountain because there was no reason to leave. The road was a bit stressful for me because I'm not used to narrow mountain roads BUT I made it up and down and would go again. Pierre was easy to contact and answered our questions quickly. Definitely an amazing place to stay and enjoy the quiet rhythm of the mountains.

Very relaxing

Enjoyed the water noise and the close proximity . Kitchen needs more light. Only had 2 washcloths, for our stay we could have used 2 per day. There is a hole in the back of the house that needs to be looked at, possible critters. But overall, it was a great place to unwind, really liked the area.

Splendid stay in Cattail Creek

We had a great stay at the cabin in Cattail Creek. It was well stocked with kitchenware, linens, board games, outdoor chairs for the firepit and some wood. There’s plenty of room to gather together or find a spot to be alone. Great back porch with view of the creek. Although a few days were cooler than usual, we were warm and cozy. The kids loved being so close to the creek for rock- hopping. I’d recommend tying a balloon at the top of the driveway since other family or friends could miss it. Overall, many good memories were made.

Lovely mountain getaway

Perfect summer escape from the heat in a lovely cabin by the creek! We love the cattail creek community for its remoteness, perfect mountain vacation environment, closeness to Burnsville, difficult hikes, and coolness in the shade of Mt Mitchell. This cabin had easy access to Cattail Creek, thoughtful appointments, comfortable beds, a secluded yard - was perfect, and we will definitely be back. It was also a great spot for a well behaved dog who doesn’t need a fenced in yard. Some notes for future guests - the neighborhood is on mountain roads…some of the rentals we have had here recommend 4 wheel drive, but this cabin was easy to access in the mini van. They do not recommend drinking the water in this rental, so make sure and bring jugs of water for your use. Thanks for sharing such a special place. Looking forward to returning!
