“We stayed here 5 nights and truly appreciated the value of this hotel. Big room, comfy beds, fast wifi, smart TV, big bathroom, free simple breakfast, personable front desk crew, 7-11 and family mart closeby, bakery almost next door, many local places to eat close by, fast uber delivery for Mcdonalds, and close to Metro station. We were a party of 2 and the room was huge for the two of us. We recommend this place”

“A simple hotel that has what we needed. A good variety of breakfast, for both Western and Asian pallets. We were very pleased with the fact that they have parking in the garage, on a first come, first served basis. When we first arrived, by car, there was only one spot left but it was too tight. The guy in the reception then ran down and moved some scooters to make more room. That's great service. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a proper door to the bathroom.”

“The beds and linen are great! Staff know enough English to communicate. Breakfast good if you like food style, not to much if you like European style, but always something’s to eat. The rooms looks clean but very dusty while retrieving some things toddle threw under bed. Tape in bathroom to hold one piece of tiles in place. “The hotel is great. I was attending a work conference at the exhibition center across the river in Taipei. The late night concierge on the weekend immediately made me feel at home, coming in at 11 pm on my first solo trip to Asia. The breakfast is excellent. Be aware that most of the restaurants amd things to do are on the other side of the river. There is a shuttle about six times a day to the exhibition center, the HSR station and the Lala mall.”

“Väldigt bra Hotel, det var min tredje gång att bo där. Fantastiskt bra personal med servicekänsla på toppnivå. De gör verkligen allt möjligt för att du ska trivas så bra som möjligt. "The hotel is truly a majestic and beautiful building (although dated) and well worth visiting. Be aware of that it is a tourist attraction and can be very crowded and noisy in the lobby. During our trip (weekend), an army of young girls in princess dresses wrecked havoc in the lobby. It was less than ideal for enjoying a romantic treat in the lobby cafe and the staff were very busy. Not much time for giving us service or attention, which caused an initially disappointed impression. I would say that the lobby cafe is overpriced in regards to the level of service and mediocre quality of food & drink. The interior design is beautiful and we appreciated the white tablecloth and all, but the noisy stressful environment was a let down. We asked a waitress if there was some special event but she said that it's always like that. Seems like kids and tour busses full of backwater mainland Chinese villagers from all over arrive and spend some time in the facility. Forget any notion of dresscode and expect cheap behaviour like blasting cell phone speaker noise in public.. We had dinner in the golden dragon restaurant. A quite nice experience with a good view of downtown Taipei. The service style was a bit different from western restaurants. If you wanted to order, you really had to grab the attention of the staff. Very good food! I don't recommend the breakfast. A lot of choices, but most of it low quality."
