“Great hotel! Nice safaris, good food, comfortable beds. Harry provides excellent service! The only minus as I see it is a little greed and they are happy to charge a little extra for everything. E. g. I paid transfer for two (since I was traveling alone) even though the driver was staying at the airport to pick another company up an hour later. Also, internet is really expensive and only works every other day, but I guess that's what to expect out in the bush.”

“We stayed for two nights during a stop over in the southern parts of the Kruger Park and a visit to Swaziland. Please note that this lodge is in Marloth Park! Gate entrance to the park is recommended via the Tenbosch Road from the N4. Only Olifant Drive was a paved road leading to the lodge. All others was unpaved. Our Vw Polo was almost unable to reach the lodge since many roads had been damaged by heavy rainfall recently. I would have liked having a 4x4 vehicle at that time. Please note that...

“This lodge is outstanding for someone who wants to get away from the crowds and still have an opportunity to see some of the native wildlife up close and personal. We were able to see a number of animals as they traversed what appeared to be a natural path that they instinctively followed. The accommodations were perfect for two and the service was outstanding.”

“We liked the hosts Colin and Carolien so much. They could not do enough for us. We asked for a bigger room and we got the biggest room I have ever had in a lodge! They even drove us to get food and were such great company. The lodge was brilliant - very African. Zebras came right up to us! the wildlife in Marloth Park is very tame. The lodges are African style so quite dark as designed to be cool. Colin and Carolien had a generator which worked when the power was out which was often. ”

“We had three lovely days at Needles Lodge. The lodge is a nice place to stay at and the service is good from the team. Lovely dinners with good company from Colin the manager. We got also a lot of info about the animals and the nature from Colins who is well experienced. We did one day in the Kruger park with a booked tour and the next day with our own car, a good mix. When driving in the local Marloth park there is also a lot of animals. if you are out in the morning or late afternoon.”
