“Wateredge Inn, Ambleside We stayed at the Wateredge Inn in October for one night and really liked it. The location is perfect, right by the water, and the room was lovely with an incredibly comfortable bed. Everything felt nicely done and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good too. We’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.”

“Brilliant uppergrade to an apartment. Very attentive, courteous and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, even when the whole village suffered a blackout due to an electrical fault. The weather was even gracious to us, and views were spectacular ”

“Food was cooked to order and every meal was so good. There was plenty of choice and there was no problem when I asked for salad instead of chips. The plates were full of good tasty food. The bed was so comfortable that we slept through the nights.”

“Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower”

“Super nice rooms, excellent shower, all very clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room were high quality, clean and maintained throughout the day. Breakfast excellent - continental pastries and usual buffet. The restaurant and bar area are picturesque and add to warm cosy feeling of the entire venue. Would highly recommend. ”

“The breakfast was superb. We tried the evening menu special which was a Pheasant breast.It wasn't the best I've tasted, it was nicely presented but it was rather salty and dry. The bed mattress provided a good nights sleep and the room was spacious and clean. Well worth the 5 stars”
