Our cottages are only a minute’s walk to Buxton's iconic Beach District where you will find several excellent restaurants, Hatteras Lighthouse & National Park, fishing & tackle shops, eclectic local shops, convenience stores, ice cream & mini-golf.

The area is quiet, and is excellent for those looking for a retreat, with the fun and adventure Cape Hatteras offers only steps away!
Relax, we’ve prepared our cottage with all the essentials you’ll need. Well behaved domesticated pets are always welcome. We provide all linens and towels for a worry free stay.

THE SPACE
Mak'n Waves is a large 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cottage duplex with identical units on the 1st & 2nd floor (this is the top floor unit- 1 flight of stairs up). Both have an enclosed screened front deck. Views of the ocean from the living room & bedroom. It’s perfect for a family of 5-6 looking to enjoy Hatteras without breaking the bank!

Pet stays: we accept pets without charging a pet fee, but our house rules must be respected at all times. No pets are permitted on the furniture or in the beds. A $300 cleaning fee will apply if this rule is broken. Only well behaved, housebroken pets are accepted. Pets are not permitted to use a "pee pad" inside the house. Pets must be taken outside to relieve themselves.
