Couldn’t ask for a better vacation!
There were ten of us and the house was perfect! We saw whales from the club house every morning around 7am. We had the chef come in three times and the food and margaritas were really good! There is a grocery store across the street from the gate entrance that we got our supplies from. We had to cross a busy street but it was very convenient. Went into town once which was only 10-15 min ride. We loved being on the rooftop at night under the stars! We will definitely be coming back!!

Nice Property and Location, but construction is underway next door
We loved the house itself -- it was comfortable for our group and well-stocked and in a nice, gated community with a shared club house overlooking the water. In addition, Geraldine and Fernando (concierge and property manager) were responsive and helpful. What we did not love was arriving to the sights and sounds of construction on a house being built next door which both impacted the view toward the water and made it difficult for our grandchildren to nap or for us to sit out by the pool while the workers were there. We had never been alerted, either in writing or with pictures, by the owner or VRBO, that this construction was underway. Given that this was a family vacation and that we had chosen this house because we could sit outside and swim while the children napped, and eat on the outside dining table, it was disappointing and misleading. When we contacted the staff, we were told the construction would stop on Saturday afternoon (which it did) but it still affected us for the day and a half until that time and, of course, the view was impacted. While we understand the owner may not have control over neighboring construction, they do have control over communicating this information to renters. Someone should have alerted us and, knowing that information, we could either have accepted or requested a discount or opted for another place. We also could not get the hot tub hot.

Thank you for the review. I have spoken with the property manager in Cabo, and she informed me that the guest (Rob and family) had made contact with her and informed said they were completely satisfied with their stay but his mother had threatened to leave a bad review unless she received a refund. As you can see, we have well over 100 - 5 star reviews for the house and staff. We are proud our many years of welcomed guests and sorry that this one guest was not satisfied.

Secure, Beautiful Location and House
Came for my friends bachelorette party with 10 girls. The house was spacious with plenty of bathrooms and lots of areas to gather. The property manager was very helpful and we were able to set up rides for our whole group with was helpful. The location was very safe and we felt very secure.

Cabo Family Trip
We loved the house! It fit our family of 10, with separate family spaces. A wonderful kitchen with everything we needed. The concierge service was GREAT!! They booked our transportation to and from airport, several trips to golf and to town!. We had a great caterer Victor, and enjoyed massages as well! The pool area with great loungers, Umbrellas as required and new BBQ, outdoor and rooftops furniture to watch the sunrise and sunsets and the whales too!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Bruce. Glad you guys were there in whale season because our house sits perfectly in a favorite bay where the mom whales prefer to play/train with their babies to jump and hang out to relax. Hope to see return again.

Cabo Bach Pad!
I booked this house for my big sisters bachelorette party and it was better than we could have ever imagined! Paradise in Cabo
The house and location were amazing! There were 9 of us and the house was perfect size for our group. Chef services with Ulysses and his wife was amazing, I would highly recommend! Fantastic place to stay
This house was terrific! Plenty of space for time together or time alone. The house was comfortably furnished and well-kept. The house manager and concierge went above and beyond for our needs. We utilized the Chef's service and were beyond impressed with what we got. Chef Ulysses made fantastic dinners that were amazing! The flat fee for his service was comparable to the price of a ride back to the marina. The only charge was for groceries. The outdoor pool area was so much fun! The rooftop was great for watching the whales' activities. All of this was in what felt like a very safe community.

Loved every minute of it!
It was the perfect getaway for a group of 8 women celebrating a milestone birthday. Starting and ending each day on the rooftop deck was definitely a highlight. From the whales breaching to the sunrises and sunsets, it was perfect. The house is large and the accommodated all of us easily. The pool and hot tub were lovely. We leveraged the concierge, Marzia, who arranged for us some great services and got into some fabulous places we wanted to go and some we'd never heard of before. Alvaro the house manager was super responsive to our needs as well. We just keep asking ourselves, when can we go back? Loved it!

Delightful enclave for a family vacation
Everything was as described in the listing. Cannot overstate how wonderful the pool and jacuzzi are. View of the ocean and the breaching whales was unparalleled, especially during the spectacular sunsets over the famous arch. We had our first night meal catered by Victor, and it was feast to behold, only exceeded by the exotic, accompanying cocktails. My only wish, for a family like ours, was a walkable restaurant, but that would have its trade-offs as well. All in all, I highly recommend this property!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay
We loved our stay at the Don & Debbie’s villa. All 5 Master bedrooms were beautiful!! Loved watching sunrise from rooftop and a walk down to clubhouse and the rocky beach was breathtaking. We took welcome package, chef Ulysses was amazing with food and drinks. Our concierge Geraldine & property manager Alvaro were on top of things. Always checking on us. Our driver Christopher was amazing. All the staff was super nice and amazing!! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!! We will cherish this vacation forever!!

Beautiful home and location
A group of us (9) stayed for an extended weekend celebrating a joint bachelorette party. From the pre- trip planning to the chef, everyone who helped us was beyond incredible. I’d love to especially thank Marzia, who had answers and recommendations to everything and also Chef Ulysses, who cooked us the most delicious and fresh meals every day. The property had incredible views of the ocean and had plenty of rooms to sleep 9 comfortably.

A large and comfortable home with added privacy between bedrooms.
We had a group of 8 people (3 couples and 2 singles) and the way the house is designed it provided added privacy between rooms. Great kitchen, great room, dining room and spectacular outside area with a pool and view. Definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful Home, Amazing Experience
The property is absolutely fantastic. A beautiful setting and many wonderful spots to gather on the property. The kitchen was well stocked with the best of amenities. A large outdoor space for relaxing and grilling. Amazing rooftop views of the ocean. The perfect location close to town but nestled away in a quiet neighborhood. The clubhouse is just steps away and has a spectacular walk to the beach and a larger swimming pool. The added services provided by Marzia and AJ made for a wonderful experience. Top notch services. They were easy to communicate with and went above and beyond in helping us with travel, dinners and entertainment. This was a terrific experience that I will certainly hope to do again.

RUN DON’T WALK to this amazing VRBO villa!
To parrot the other reviews the photos do not do this expansive property justice. From the multiple poolside lounge areas to rooftop seating (perfect for morning whale watching during migration season) we did not hesitate to escape town to return to hang out at the villa. Alvaro is extremely helpful and quick to come by for any and all issues and overall ensure a relaxed stay. Marzia helped book us airport transport, covid tests, restaurants, and the unforgettable at home chef Ulysses (thanks again for a memorable birthday dinner!). The transportation through Ulises is fast and reliable (approx. $5pp to town, $10 to San Jose del Cabo) as well. Thanks to everyone for making this a memorable holiday, we hope to come back again!

BOOK THIS HOUSE!
We truly had the BEST time!! The house was lovely, very homey. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable and the showers had really hot water and good pressure. The pool and hot tub were beautiful, we were able to see whales all day long. The area the home is in was extremely safe, which was important to us since it was a girls trip. The neighborhood was gated with a 24/7 security guard. We had Ulysses as our chef for the weekend and he was incredible, the sweetest man, and he took great care of us. Everything was delicious! Marzia was a breeze to work with, she was extremely helpful with getting us airport transportation and taxis around town. For the price this house is a STEAL. We’ll definitely be back!

Best weekend with the best hospitality
We couldn’t express more how wonderful the weekend was! The house was absolutely beautiful and the layout was perfect. We all walked in and felt like we were in paradise and immediately said “Wish we were staying longer”. The hospitality and concierge service was beyond perfect. The community and neighborhood was extremely safe and we never felt uncomfortable. We had the welcome marg/appetizer package, the breakfast chef, and a dinner chef and I would 100% Recommend doing all 3, it made the total experience! I would recommend this property to anyone!

The Perfect Villa
The Santa Carmela community was super quiet, clean and safe. The Club House and Ocean is about100 years away from the Villa. Make sure you add the welcome happy hour. It is the perfect way to have fresh margaritas, and Mexican snacks at the villa when you arrive. Also note that you will see many whale sightings while sitting in the spa. The Fresko market is practically across the highway and it is nicer than most American super markets. No need to go farther down the highway to Costco, unless you plan to get a case of the Kirkland Wine or Prosecco. Otherwise Costco is a waste of time. Transportation was easily arrange!!! Everyone was super effectuate and nice. We will stay again!!!!!!

Santa Carmela 18 is Amazing!
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Santa Carmela 18. The house is spacious, comfortable, and very well provisioned in every respect....truly a home away from home! The patio and roof deck are amazing with unobstructed views of the ocean where you can see whales and dolphins playing. You can also see Cabo San Lucas and Land's End from the roof deck for amazing sunrise and sunset viewing. The pool and hot tub at the house are perfect and we enjoyed them both for many hours each day. The easy access to the Club House and beach were also much appreciated. We had Chef Victor and his assistant Mauricio prepare welcome appetizers and margaritas for our arrival followed by a delicious chef prepared dinner. I would highly recommend Chef Victor as his food was delicious and the margaritas just kept coming! The cost of the appetizers, all the margaritas and dinner was less than it cost us to eat at Flora's Farm to Table restaurant later in the week. Having Chef Victor and Mauricio at the house when we arrived truly got our stay at Santa Carmela 18 off to an amazing start. Everyone in our group gave Santa Carmela 18 a 10 out of 10! We can't wait to go back!

Spectacular
Stunning property! Pictures did not do this house justice. The house is beautifully decorated and much, much bigger than expected. Easily accommodates five couples. The owners of this property have thought of everything anyone could possibly need including condiments, spices, cooking utensils etc. The outdoor living spaces are outstanding. You can literally lie by the pool and see the ocean and whale watch to your hearts content. There is also a gigantic rooftop terrace that you can watch sunrises and sunsets from. Fireworks for departing cruise ships in the evening were an added bonus to watch from the rooftop. You will have access to concierge service that takes care of anything you need immediately. Anything promised happened exactly to the minute. The tennis courts are directly across the street and are marked for Pickleball which we played everyday so the courts were always available. Downtown/marina is only a fifteen minute ride away. Excellent security so extremely safe. STAY HERE!

Perfect home for a small or large group.
The home was beautiful!!! Just as the photos show. It had Everything we needed for a weeks stay. AJ was very responsive to questions and the chef, Victor and his assistant, Mauricio, prepared delicious meals and cocktails for us. We did have a major issue with the cooktop but AJ immediately took care of it. The clubhouse pool was walking distance and most days we had the space all to ourselves. Great place at stay!! Definitely 5 stars!!

Amazing 50th. Birthday
The house and staff we’re amazing. From the concierge to the chef really took care of us. Victors food was top notch. If there was one thing I would complain about would be the tile around the pool. Super slippery and a few of my friends fell. Besides that the fees from the rooftop where great. The club house I think was are favorite spot though. Being close to the ocean with such a short walk from the house. Great!! Thanks for everything!!

Beyond expectations!
This home exceeded our expectations in every way. First, the pictures don’t do it justice. The home is well maintained and beautifully kept. The location is great, with easy access to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo, so anything we wanted to do is a short ride away. Communication with the owner and property managers was great. We set up the chef service for our arrival day, and when pulling up we were greeted by the property manager, Alvaro, as well as the chef with appetizers and margaritas ready to go when we walked in. The food was amazing, and if I could do it again I would have just had the chef service every day. We have rented many VRBO’s over the years and this one was by far the best experience so far. We will be back again soon!

Fantastic property
This house is beautiful and was perfect for our family of 9 adults. The owner, Don, was a pleasure to work with and the concierges Kathya, Mazias and Alvaro were so helpful! We had the personal chef cook some meals for us and they were delicious. The house is clean, very nicely maintained and in a secure neighborhood - we enjoyed the location very much - easy to get to the marina, golf, excursions and restaurants. The pool is great and we loved the views from the rooftop! First time in Cabo and this trip far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return and stay in this beautiful oasis!

OVERALL Must go!
The property looks amazing in the pictures but wow it is soo much better!! We stayed with a group of 9 girls and it was the best! The house and everyone we worked with from the owner Don, to the concierge Marzia was a great experience. The house is also so clean and the neighborhood feels so safe. The chef we hired from the Marzia's recommendation, Chef Dulce Ojeda was really exceptional. Everything was delicious and they were beyond friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this VRBO and am hoping to return with my husband and a few couples soon.

This home was beyond our expectations. The look n feel of this meticulously maintained authentic traditional Mexican hacienda was great! From the moment we arrived we were treated first class. Fabulous Stay at the Santa Carmela Villa!
This is a beautiful, functional villa with gorgeous ocean views in a private, gated community just 7 minutes from downtown Cabo. The floor plan worked great for us with so many private bedrooms and baths. The owners, the driver (Ricardo) the property manager (Kathya) and the private chef made available to us (Dulce) were all wonderful and attentive. There are numerous outdoor locations to hang out including the private deck on the roof, the pool and spa area, and others. We also enjoyed the tennis courts and private club on the ocean which add value and opportunities to explore the coastline. We will definitely return to Santa Carmela!

Mexican vacation
This place was all around great. We traveled there five couples and the way the house is set up is perfect. Almost every room has its own bathroom. When we arrived there was margaritas and chips and salsa waiting for us. We booked the chef for two of the nights we were there (Frida Cabo) and she was amazing, highly recommend and pricing was extremely reasonable. All around great place!

What a wonderful week in Cabo!
this house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with good friends. We made great use of the beach chairs and umbrellas we took with us. Chileno beach and medano Beach were both nice beaches. The views from the house are spectacular and there are a whole lot of whales out there! The only negative thing I would say is that it's a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom. Two of the bedrooms share one bathroom which is not in the property listing. There are also not TVs in all the bedrooms. Regardless, I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

Thanks Jamie for the kind comments. DISH tv is incredibly expensive per TV in CABO. As tech has changed over the recent years we will be putting tv's in all bedrooms via Hulu or now Dish is now offering joey's in extra rooms.
