The Space:

Mini Up! shares the property with another rental house, Up! House, but both are separated by a lush vertical garden of bromeliads, ensuring privacy for all guests.

Guest Access:

The property is located just 30 meters from the main road, making it easy to access. Guests can choose from several convenient options: take a direct shuttle from San José (SJO) airport, fly on a short 45-minute domestic flight to Limón followed by a one-hour drive, or enjoy a scenic 4–5 hour drive from San José.



The Neighborhood:

UP! HOUSE Costa Rica (which includes two jungle casitas) is located in Playa Chiquita, the best residential neighborhood in the area. The beach near UP! HOUSE Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica, as it is very appreciated for its tide pools, which makes it very enjoyable to swim and sun tan. Playa Chiquita beckons guests with its sparkling clear waters, natural bays and peaceful atmosphere. Take the short jungle path and you are there! There is a supermarket within walking distance from the houses, as well as nice restaurants and a farmer's market on Wednesday and Saturdays. It is very easy to move around with bikes or scooters, electric scooters are available for rent now and is a very good way to explore the area. Our concierge can arrange these rentals for you.



Getting Around:

If you are coming from abroad you will probably arrive at SJO San José Airport. From San Jose you have the following options to get to the Caribbean: Private flight A very exclusive charter flight service is waiting to take you to the sky on a beautiful journey to the South Caribbean. Once you arrive to SJO / San José Airport, an assistant will wait for you to take you to your private flight to the Caribbean. You will have a very fast transfer to LIO / Limón Airport and from there, a private van will drive you through the scenic coastal road directly to UP! HOUSE Costa Rica. Costs vary depending on the number of passengers and type of aircraft and van. Contact us for more information and to make your reservation. Domestic flights This is one of the easiest and most accessible ways to get to the Caribbean. Once you arrive to SJO / San José Airport, you take the next flight with SANSA Airlines in the domestic terminal. The cost of domestic flights varies depending on the season, ranging from $80 → $150 per person. Book ahead, as space is limited to 12 passengers per aircraft. Rental car Driving through the rainforest is a great experience. Route 32 crosses one of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, whose scenic beauty captivates at first sight. The price of the rented cars varies depending on the type of vehicle and the time it is rented. Contact us for special rates. Private Shuttle Traveling in private transport allows you to enjoy the beautiful views with peace of mind, the van’s driver can make strategic stops to take pictures, have a meal or snack. Also in case of heavy traffic, they can take another route to make your trip 100% enjoyable. The price for private transportation San Jose → Puerto Viejo and vice versa, for up to 9 people is $250 (price may vary in 2022). This service is door to door, from airports to hotels and/or vacation homes. The units are air conditioned, with all the insurance required for public transportation of tourists in Costa Rica. Contact us for arrangements. Shared Shuttle This option offers the possibility to travel comfortably at an economic price, and also enjoy the scenic views of Route 32. The pick up and drop off points are some hotels in San Jose, or Denny's restaurant in Alajuela, the closest point to the airport. Price range is from $35 to $70 depending on the provider. Contact us for special rates. There is space for one car in the parking area (or two if they are small). The best way to move around the neighborhood is by bike, we can send bike rentals before your arrival. We also provide contact information for reliable tuk-tuks and taxis during your stay.
