BUDGET 3/4Br 2Bath and 2 kitchens in tropical gardens with pool

This home is open plan with many outdoor spaces on the 1/4 acre. There is always a lovely breeze, the yard has a pool, bar, playground, vegetable garden, chicken coup, fire pit, and a tranquil garden setting with a small waterfall, good for meditation.The property is close to shops, transport and eateries. It is 2 storey building and I live upstairs and outdoor areas are shared. There are 2 border collies Molly and Tilly.

Please be aware of a few things to avoid disappointment as holidays are rare.
There are 2 dogs here, they are always excited to meet new guests they are friendly and love children.
I live upstairs with my own access, I'm happy to host or only be seen feeding chooks and dogs and generally keeping the yard. The kitchen has everything I can think of but the oven is tiny ( no one needs a heater in the tropics)
Finally this is budget accommodation while it is clean safe and functional some furniture is dated and a little damaged better for kids as I have never claimed for damage, I simply fix it. So it's not the Hilton purposefully as I want to cater to families that can spend their money at the reef and enjoying what Cairns has to offer.

Across the road is a delicious local pizza shop Pizza la Vista, Scotty's Pizza and pasta is freshly made and he has sorbets from local suppliers using locally sourced tropical fruits.
Baked on Red Hill supplies 5 star restaurants with their delicious treats and fresh breads including gluten free options.
The bus to town stops on the corner about 50 metres away, cairns is 6 km away, it is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef which is not to be missed. Tour operators leave from town for Port Douglas, Kuranda (villiage in the rainforest)
Butterflys, crocodiles, atv and 4wd, diving adventures, many beautiful waterfalls, the barron gorge and lots more.
I highly recommend the skyrail to Kuranda.
I am on site and ready to share local knowledge of tropical living.

Inside was clean but one of the rooms had insects crawling on the wall. The backyard was overgrown but the pool was clean. Dogs were friendly but a little on the smelly side. Fair for the price.

Good family holiday stay

A good , clean and very reasonably priced place for a family or group to base themselves to have adventures around the Cairns region. Beautiful doggo friends were a bonus. Robyn was responsive and very helpful during our stay .

Pleasure staying at the property

Robyn is a very freindly and accommodating host. She is very responsive and helpful . Wonderful Stay

We were at Robyn’s for 6 days with 8 people. Our host went above and beyond to make our time there great. We even got to try some homemade jam from her wild hibiscus. Plenty of room. Kitchen well stocked to cook own meals. Dogs were fabulous and entertained kiddos. Close to everything we wanted to do. Like others said- this is not resort style- this is comfortable, casual Island type living. Thank you for the hospitality Robyn! Would love to stay here when we travel your way again.

Spacious holiday home…Super host.

The home itself was spacious and clean, with bedrooms far enough apart that my partner couldn’t hear me snore. There were two of us enjoying three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen, dining room and lounge area. As for our host, Robyn was available but unobtrusive. A text message or a simple hey Robyn got an immediate response. In addition, she drove us from and to the airport and to a couple of other places as well. There’s no doubt, if we ever return to Cairns, Robyn’s property would be our first choice for a place to stay. Bill and Velma from Canada.

Heaps of room for a fantastic price!

My kids had a ball at this property, so much to do that they almost didn't want to leave the yard! The pool was clean and sparkling, as were the dogs. They were a delight, though you need to be a dog lover for this to an ideal place to stay. Outside is in need of a big tidy up for cosmetic purposes but overall, this place was worth the money for sure!

Very happy family

This property is not Resort style accommodation, but if you are after a well priced home which has a family home away from home feel this property is fantastic. Robyn the owner is lovely and very accommodating, two friendly dogs and a fantastic back yard complete with trampoline which our youngest two aged 8 and 10 enjoyed immensely. If ever we return to Cairns we will most definately be looking to book here again
