Bra boende cairns
Bra läge för boendet. Nära till centrum( gångavstånd) utanför gick bussar som vi åkte till en underbar badort palm cove med. Efter att i varit där svalka vi oss i lilla poolen på hotellet.personalen hjälpsam o trevlig. Boka en massa utfärder.men snorkling på fitzroy Island var favoriten

Bra!
Bra om man inte ska mer än sova på hotellet/lägenheten.. Vad det nu ska vara?? Ivf om det är bra väder och man inte vill ha något överflödigt så passar detta.. Bra utomhus grill och nära till hyrbilsfirmorna och 10 min gång till centrum.. Receptionen trevlig och är till hjälp när man vill boka något. Bra!

This hotel is not in the centre of Cairnes. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the shoppingarea, and 10 minutes to the esplanade. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel for 20 dollars. The room was huge. It contained a small balcony, a big kitchen with all equipments you need to cook, a livingroom with flatscreen tv and a quite old bathroom. The aircondition was not effective in the heat. There is a laundryroom for the guests where you can wash and dryclean your clothes. The washingpowder in the reception costs 50 cent and the washingmashine and drycleaner costs 3 dollar each. The staff is a family and they are amazingly nice and funny. The reception is not open very often, but when it is they help you to book different attractions or call a cab for you or recommend you different things to do in the area. There is 1 computer in the reception, they take 6 dollars for 1 hour. The "pool" and "spa" is a small pool and bubblepool i the garden, wich is quite small. There were only room for 3 sunchairs. But it also containes a big area with tables and a grill where you can have grillparties and store your drinks in a refridgerator. Sadly 10 guys occupated this area during our whole stay.. =) Close to the hotel there is a internetcafé and a Pharmacy. The supermarket is 10 minutes away. In the esplanade 10 minutes away there is a huge communal pool with a garden and café where everybody who wants to can swim and sunbath for free.

Great location in Cairns, walkable to everything centrally. The room was a good size and provided everything we needed. Guy on reception was very helpful and luggage storage facility was very useful. Would recommend.

Good sizes one bedroom apartment. Has all the amenities you need included washing machine and dryer. Would definitely recommend and re-book next time im in town

The apartment was spacious and quiet and reasonably close to the city. It was dated and needed quite a bit of maintenance. Some of these issues were dealt with straight away when we pointed them out. I didn't realise that there wasn't a lift and we were on the top floor. We are an older couple and found the stairs difficult to manage with our suitcases.

Easily checked in upon arrival before 12:00 noon, instead of waiting till 2:00pm. The apartment was clean, neat, tidy, peaceful and safe with appropriate kitchen utensils provided for self-cooking and also laundry washing machine and dryer. Will stay there in future.

In general I just found it dingy, cupboards smelt like mould, things were always leaking in the bathroom leaving puddles on the floor but could never figure out form where. Decorator pillows had large disgusting stains on them. Couch was so horribly stained I wouldn’t sit on it.

My studio was good, clean and neat.. all amenities… absolutely loved it just The pillow was not good. The pool was very small and too deep not for kids and family. I was disappointed with this. The lady at the reception was helpful. The shops , restaurants and esplanade was about 10 minutes walk. No restaurant near to the hotel. It’s a bit quiet place. Overall okay

キッチンはキレイ。自炊するには悪くない。洗濯機と乾燥機が部屋についてるので連泊にはいい。部屋は全体的に暗い感じ。ロケーションは良くない。 写真で見る感じとは違った。レストラン、スーパーマーケットも少し遠いかも。３階建でエレベータなし、スーツケースを持って階段を上がった。 もう少し安ければ納得できる。

Gute Lage. Parkplätze for free. Küchenzeile hilft. Rezeption wochentags nur von 9-17h. Late-Check-in dennoch simpel machbar. Das erste, was man sieht: Zettel an der Wand mit dem Hinweis, dass zusätzlich 55 AUD in Rechnung gestellt werden, wenn man den Müll nicht entsorgt, der Kühlschrank noch Dinge beinhaltet oder das Geschirr nicht gesäubert und wieder an seinen Platz gestellt ist. Und wenn man reinkommt, klebt auf der Küchentheke Dreck. Das passt nicht zusammen. Die Toilettenartikel beinhalteten nur ein Stück Seife und nicht wie auf ein paar Fotos zu sehen, Schampoo etc.

Quiet, convenient location close to shops and restaurants as well as the esplanade. Having a washing machine/dryer saved a lot of time as well.

Shower recess very strong smell of Demestos (Bleach). Shower recess extremely slippery and dangerous. Mould on wall and ceiling. Plastic garbage bin on kitchen floor without lid. Rug in centre of lounge floor very dirty and poorly maintained. Had to request washing up requisites - not supplied in room on arrival.

We enjoyed our stay for 1 week at Cascade Gardens. An excellent location is close to the Cairns City shopping centre, close to the suburban buses and to the seashore walking promenade. The staff were friendly and obliging for directions to the city and to the areas that tourists like to visit. Cascade Gardens is worth another visit. Ruth (late September 2023)

Photos of Cascade Gardens hotel are misleading as in reality the place is not as attractive or classy looking. It did have some good points but I wouldn't recommend it, there are alternatives for about the same price. Receptionists (owners) could be available a bit more.
