Bra läge till ett bra pris men nergånget. Frukosten var väldigt enkel, toast, sylt, juice och kaffe men av mig tog de inte betalt för den annars hade det känts som en blåsning. Inte direkt smutsigt men ändå så slitet att det kändes lite ofräscht. Mycket referenser till dess glansdagar kring förra sekelskiftet då de inte har så mycket att skryta med nu.

It is fine, not great but works.
Hotel was in a great area, and as it was historic the condition was ok. There were roaches in the hallway, not in our room. Our room was over a bar, and the windows did not fully close. The breakfast opened late, closed early, and was only toast and cereal. There was guest laundry, but the working washed was a different floor from the working dryer. The front desk was friendly. The bed was standard. Nothing amazing but did the job. The bathroom was bizarre, with a door with 5 cm gap? The room did have a refrigerator and a kettle which was nice. We were in room 135, a queen? bed , private bathroom. Would not recommend it unless significantly cheaper than your other options.

Denna typ av hotell i Cairns har en lägre standard än vad man kanske är van vid. Det är OK men WiFi är uselt om det ens funkar

Hides Hotel Cairnes
Utlovad gratis parkering enligt bokningsbekräftelse existerar inte. 10 platser i garage som man får betala extra för var allt som fanns. Vi känner oss lurade på extrakostnader för parkeringen. Frukosten var den sämsta vi sett på något hotell. Pulverkaffe som ett exempel. Städningen var obefintlig under en hel vecka. Enda i städväg var att papperskorgarna tömdes varje dag.

Bara på genomresa. Hyfsat hotell till bra pris. Ingen utsikt eller rättare mot husvägg och soptunnor. Ingen Wifi och trist frukost men vattenkokare och kaffepulver och kylskåp. Det var bra

An historic old Hotel, possibly the oldest remaining in Cairns. Has been updated to a good basic level. Everything you could wish for in a town centre, history hotel.

The staff was very kind and helpful, but the bathroom was covered with ants. The walls are thin and the mattress as well. Good place if you just want to sleep and store luggage but not ideal for enjoying time at the hotel.

Young people are out at night in the area drinking usually until 4:00 am. Why do they have to yell and scream? I didn't sleep for 3 nights. People staying here need to know this.

必要最低限のタオル、ドライヤー、シャンプーコンディショナーはあります。荷物もチェックイン前に預けることができます。立地も良く徒歩で繁華街に行けます。クーラーも付いており、とても効きがいいです。しかし残念な点はやはり建物やお風呂が少し古いシャワーの温度調節が大変でした。壁が薄いのか廊下の音や外の音がたくさん聞こえます。総合的には過ごしやすいのでまた利用したいと思います。

There was a problem with the booking for a guest before me that took a long time to sort out. Guest had to explain what was going on. Quick acknowledgement, I won't be long with apologies for being kept waiting so long would improve the quality of service.

Value for money
This is in a fantastic location to walk everywhere in Cairns. We have stayed here before and enjoy sitting on the veranda with a coffee or drink, as rooms don't have their own balcony. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. However, this time, there was no person in reception, no contact phone number, no note on the counter; so I, and others, had to wait over 30 minutes for a staff member to return.

Great location. Everything is walking distance which is handy if you dontwant to do car hire. They are very accommodating forifyou need tostore luggage for the day. Have lockers as well for day use.

Staff were rude and unhelpful. Parking was a one hourly only & very unsafe out the front of hotel. The room smelt awful.

The room is big. Very clean. Room is always tidy the next day. Its got a bar fridge, a wardrobes, Jar for hot water, air conditioner & also a ceiling fan. The best. I enjoyed staying here at Hides Hotel with my son.

Hotel is well situated within the Cains city area, close to everything. My room was good, the aircon was a bit weak and was concerned it may cut out during the night but it was ok, tried different modes etc Good value for money
