The room was full of cockroaches and I left the room. The receptionist mentioned me I would get a refund for the half and never happened. After time I called back and the management told me was her first week working there and never heard something about it but she will check the situation to help me with the refund but definitely never happened. So disappointing.

Only stayed the one night so it was ok for our needs. Staff were friendly upon checkin. Room was clean but furniture, fittings and hotel in general are dated and in need of a facelift.

Needed to make an emergency booking, and reaching the motel at 8PM, no one was at the front desk. Needed to make a phone call to confirm about the check-in, however, the phone number written on the door did not have a local area code, and could not call from the cell phone. The person at the restaurant next door was kind enough to let me use a phone. No instruction on the Wi-Fi connection in the room, and needed to call again.

A MILLION COCKROACHES
The room was absolutely RIDDLED WITH COCKROACHES!! I’ve never seen that many insects in my whole life. I woke up at midnight to cockroaches in my bed, on every wall in my room! They were all through my suitcase inside my shoes and clothes. It was like something out of a horror movie. I went to reception and there was no one there, and no emergency after hour number to call. I had no choice but to book a room in the Novotel as it was the only Hotel available at that time of the morning. It cost me $450 which I was really unhappy about. Thankfully management issued me a refund the following day, however this does not make up for the horrible experience I was put through and the cost to my second Hotel room. I will NEVER stay in this Hotel again and I strongly advise that you don’t either.

Throughout the night there was a loud, intermittent water pressure noise. Bugs around bench area. Loose baain tap, loose roilet seat.

Fair, but not going back.
Reception was closed upon check-in and I had to phone them. The tv in the room had a remote that wasn’t working and the buttons on the tv itself were very hard to get to work also. Room was clean and beds comfy. At 9 a.m. a cleaner banged loudly on the door and asked, when I opened it, were we leaving yet. I said NO, not until 10 o’clock checkout time. They seem to need more in-house communication.

Hi Sharon - sorry for your disappointments. Motel Nomad has reception hours which are displayed 24/7. We also have a live-onsite member just the phone call away before & beyond the reception hours for inhouse guest's continuity of service needs also displayed for communication. We keep a supply of new batteries for device needs. Housekeeping commences at 9am but guests are always welcome to let them know of their intention of not leaving until the10am. Good size clean room with comfy bed and couch. Very pleasant stay and easy walking to DFO and a Restaurant next door. Very quiet from outside and very little noise from floor above. Neighbouring howling dog wasn't too bad with bathroom door closed, but there's little that the Motel can do about neighbours. Staff very pleasant.

Room was clean, but very basic, no hand towel or face washer, lounge suite had seen better days. Saturday was horrible, Zic Zac had booked out the pool area for a Pool Party. I got back to my room just after two and the music was thump thump thumping, we went out for dinner and came back just before 9.30 and the music was still thump thump thumping, we had been told when we booked in that the music was from 2pm until about 7pm. My husband went down to see them as he was unable to get anyone to answer the reception phone and asked whom ever was in charge when the music would be finished, to be advised it would be 10pm. I rang the Police only to find that they are unable to help in the case of commercial premises. Eventually the music stopped just after 10pm, but we still had the noise of people talking and things being moved, you would just able drift off to sleep and then the noise would wake you. Spoke to reception on the way out and she has totally disinterested and belligerent about out complaint, said the music stopped at 8pm and all the people left the pool area ---- wrong they were still there and then the function was moving to the Lane Way (also a part of Nomad Motel), so the noise whether it came from the Pool Area or the Lane Way was still extremely loud. This Motel is advertised as a family motel, with family rooms, so why have something on that is disturbing for the guest especially on a weekend, I am sure there are a lot more suitable venues for this type

The propert had plenty of parking and an excellent Thai restaurant next door. However, it was unclean, rooms were not serviced, taps dripped, tiles falling off bathroom, bedbases broken, mouldy, toenail found in daughters bed- not hers, not enough kitchen items for number of people in room. It was quieter than expected though.

The room was very dated and smelled strongly of cigarettes and cleaning products. There was no toilet seat when we first arrived, tried to call room service 3 times within business hours but no answer, had to go down and ask for a toilet seat. It was fixed within half an hour but very disapointing as we had wanted to shower and go straight out but couldn't use the en suite as we were waiting for the handy man. The floor felt dirty and the room was in dire need of a reno. It was a lovely cool night but none of the windows could be opened so still had to use the air-con as it was stuffy otherwise. The beds were quite saggy. Someone got up in the morning and had a cigarette directly next door to us and it filled our room with cigarette smoke. Needless to say, we bailed early. Outside looked so nice with lush gardens and a big pool. There was a very friendly dog at reception when we arrived so that was nice.

Horrible.... Stained couch and blanket, dirty bedspread, broken chairs, no security chain. I was booked in for 3 nights, stayed less than an hour.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. More like a resortish atmosphere than a typical motel. Everyone was friendly and rooms really neat and tidy with Greenery Palm views out our window and sitting on the verandahs. Thank you for the restful night and good food we needed.

Wasn't betty happy with the loud music blaring from the lane way pub next door, but we rang reception and it was soon turned down. Staff member was terrific and helpful.

I have raised concerns with staff when I was staying at this accommodation regarding the state of cleanliness of the bathroom and shower. Disappointing but I had very few options to stay elsewhere on the date I was at this motel due to the Cairns Show day weekend.
