Getting Around:

Koru Cottage is well-positioned for getting around Cairns, whether you’re travelling by car, taxi, rideshare or public transport.



Cairns Hospital and the Esplanade are nearby, with the CBD, waterfront, restaurants, cafés and major attractions just a short trip away.



Free street parking is available nearby for guests with a car, making it easy to explore beyond the city. Head north to Palm Cove and the Northern Beaches, visit Kuranda and the surrounding rainforest, or set off on a day trip through Tropical North Queensland.



Taxis and rideshare services such as Uber are readily available throughout Cairns, and reef tours and excursions generally depart from the Cairns waterfront.



For maximum flexibility when exploring the beaches, rainforest and wider region, we recommend having a car.



Other Things to Note:

Longer stays & mandatory mid-stay cleaning

We welcome longer stays at Koru Cottage.

For stays of more than 14 nights, a mandatory mid-stay clean applies at $165 per service.

The service helps us maintain the accommodation to a high standard throughout longer stays and provides guests with a fresh, comfortable space.

The $165 mid-stay cleaning fee is additional to the departure cleaning fee and will be arranged with you during your stay.



Tropical living

Cairns is located in the tropics and is home to geckos, insects and other local wildlife. While we maintain the property carefully, you may occasionally encounter some of our tropical neighbours.

Keeping doors and screens closed where possible will help minimise unwanted visitors.



Pool safety

The property has a private pool. Children must be actively supervised around the pool at all times.

Residential neighbourhood

Koru Cottage is located in a residential area, and we ask all guests to be considerate of our neighbours, particularly when using the terrace and pool in the evening.

Parties, events and gatherings are not permitted.



Only registered guests are permitted at the property unless prior approval has been provided.
