Spacious and Clean rooms. The view was a deception as the lake from this side is Dirty.â
âThe view and entire ambience was so beautiful, staff were kind and welcoming. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable but the view of lake Atitlan from my room was divine! That made up for the room being basic . â
âFantastic place! We stayed for two weeks while my daughter was volunteering nearby. Comfortable, clean, excellent food and they went above and beyond to take care of anything we needed. â
âClean rooms, satisfying service, and endless free refill water. Nice location close to restaurants, the center and where to tale the boats around thd lake. The wifi was a bit unsteady but worked most of the time. The restaurant on the roof had nice food but breakfast was not included.â
âVisitors must be aware of the steep, difficult climb from the main road. Fit folx in their 20s and 30s won't be too fussed, but we're pretty fit for our 50s and it was a real effort. Handrails leading up to the yurts would make an excellent safety addition.
We stayed in the top yurt (#4) and the views are tremendous and worth the big climb. We requested breakfast delivery in the am and it arrived on time! Delicious.

It is accessed via a private dock and is tricky to access after normal lancha run-times from San Marcos, so plan accordingly and buy your supplies beforehand. But the excellent view makes it more than worth it, and the morning sunrise was the highlight of my...

"Casa del mundo is very picture perfect but it didn't feel as authentic as some of the other places we visited.
The food was average and quite pricy. We booked massage that wasn't very good, after quite a few attempts we managed to get a bit off money back at least. The jacuzzi was lovely. For unknown reason the paddle boards were broken,but we weren't told why and when we could use them.
There is A LOT of stairs, so if you have issues with that it's not the best place for you. "
