Indulge in a memorable getaway to the beauty of Camano Island and bring the whole family to this gorgeous waterfront retreat. As soon as you arrive, you will be greeted by the picturesque views, classic shake exterior, and serene landscape, allowing everyone to slip into vacation mode immediately. Split into two separate sides, this retreat will be ideal for multiple families or groups of friends, as each side offers three bedrooms, plenty of room to mingle, and a full kitchen for whipping up tasty meals at the end of each adventurous day. When the sun begins to go down, head out to the backyard and gather for a glass of wine at the outdoor sectional, or throw a few logs on the firepit and reminisce with loved ones until the stars come out. Plus, settling down each night will be a breeze with the coziness of the woodstoves on each side of the home and TVs in each living area to play a favorite movie.

Sida A of this home comprises the lower floor, boasting a full kitchen and living area. One of the upper floor bedrooms with an en suite bathroom. Side B is also two stories. The lower floor has a living area with a TV and one bedroom. The upper floor features a full kitchen, another living room, and a playroom for the little ones.

Sitting on the island's southern end, this home will give you peace away from the hustle and bustle. When exploring the surrounding area, go north and spend a day hiking along the various trails in Camano Island State Park or Cama Beach Historical State Park. The island's northern end is also filled with local restaurants, wineries, and grocery stores when you need a few necessities or a bite to eat!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The houses are large enough for our group of 11, we had thanksgiving here. I guess I don’t love the two home setup - it was nice to have 2 ovens for baking but the rest was just a lot of back and forth and neither table could quite seat our whole group. But that’s just personal preference. The houses are nice and the view is lovely, we walked down the rugged trail to the beach which was a hangout of seals watching us from the water. The kitchens - bring everything you need (there was a little oil and salt and pepper there.) We had some issues with things not working right, hopefully those will be fixed. There is brand new construction very close to the house that shares the driveway. The bad - Check-in. Getting there after dark (5pm gasp) with no directions except a link to google maps and having the wrong codes to get in was a frustrating start. I wish they included some checkin directions - calling Vacasa and not someone who knows the property meant they were reading instructions but couldn’t answer my questions. And I’m not sure why they won’t just send the door codes, everyone does that. They only sent a lock box code (to an empty lockbox.) We only got into unit B with a key and were texted the door code later. I was frustrated with the customer service from Vacasa (the local contact seemed nice, not her fault). I’ll try to avoid booking with homes that are operated through them in the future.

Review

The place worked out great. The house A lock didn’t lock or unlock. Not a huge issue but couldn’t lock the place when we left for the day. If the cleaners hadn’t left a door open we would not have been able to get in. Other than that it worked out great.

Island escape

Plenty of space & privacy worked out well for our large group. The property does need some minor maintenance - landscaping, decks and gutters appear somewhat neglected. There were a few carpet stains & broken toilets. The location was very nice.

Great get away spot

I came with a lot of my family members, 15 of us in total, and there was plenty of room! The houses were both great, the view in the back is beautiful as well. If I had to find something negative thing to say about the property it would be that they could use a few more lawn games or something like that - but otherwise it was perfect for our little vacation. Beach access is a little treacherous, definitely don’t recommend making the journey down there if you’re not okay with a somewhat difficult hike back up. There was also a small structure under construction near the front of the property and that was being worked on one of the days we were there - so if you’re expecting quiet, I could see that being an issue. However it didn’t really bother us

Great experience

We are christian groups who went for retreat (12 ppl). The two houses gave us a diverse experience for the different activities and reflections. On the first night the big house was not aerated and it was stuffy and not pleasing. But we opened the windows and refreshed it. All the other things are good. We enjoyed a lot. We went to the Camp Cafe in the park 8min Drive from the house. It is beautiful.

Fun Family Getaway

My family and I enjoyed our family reunion - it's a perfect space for large families to gather and spend time together. We cooked large meals in both kitchens and were able to gather all together in one of the dining/living areas. Lots of good memories!

Lots to love and a few quirks

We enjoyed this property a lot. Great views, comfortable beds and plenty of fun nooks and crannies for the kids to love. The outdoor firepits were great and the view is beautiful. A few notes - the listing says 3 king size beds, but we only found 2. Not a big deal for our group, but it could be for others. The bathroom situation is a bit odd- side B only has one shower. The property is listed as 5 baths, which is true, but two of them are only half baths. Just plan accordingly. Water pressure is very low and there are no strainers in the kitchen sinks. Little things, but they could be improved. Other missing things: lighter for fire pit, tongs in the kitchen, measuring spoons, scrub brush in the kitchen sink, hot pads or trivets and aluminum foil would be great additions to the basic kitchen set up, and many of these would make it easier for us to keep the property clean and avoid damage. We wish there was an instruction book with this house for things garbage and recycling info, access to beach, local restaurants and activities, etc. Don't let these little details stop you from enjoying this great property!

Overall was good. Had trouble finding garbage/recycle in side b. And not enough dish clothes n towels. Was disappointed in the maintenance of the yard. Weeds as tall as me and very unkept. The beach access was misleading, as it was very steep and a long ways down.

Great large property on Camano Island

Our family had a great time staying on Camano Island. Lots of space with all the bedrooms, well stocked kitchens, very clean etc. Our only comment would be that this property needs an information booklet telling us details about the property (ie, garbage days, ice maker (didn't work very well) etc.) Our biggest issue was the off and on of the wi-fi (mostly on) and the TV's. There appeared to be no real TV service (again no information book), so you had to have a streaming service like uTube Tv, Netflix etc. which luckily we did. The outside seating areas were wonderful. Also, should have more details about the very steep, difficult trail to the beach. Easy for many but hard if you are older or have bad knees. Would stay here again.
